| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I find the world fiction of this show to be pretty interesting especially the creatures now. Those blue lizard beings also happens to wander into this unique restaurant so I do expect more non-human characters to arrive. As usual, I like the amount of details they pour into the food of this series:  We also got an elven archer girl in this show so again, I expect very contrasting characters to visit every epsiode.  |

| That cheese omelette looked amazing but I never thought to put bacon inside of it lol....Whenever I make it, I just have it on the side As for the second half, the elf girl is really cute but I should have known that she was gonna be a vegan lol...Still, I think it's pretty neat how she wants to try and surpass our chef and I hope that we'll get to see if she succeeds or not Good episode overall and how bout that quick breast feeding shot lol |

| Discovery Channel hype! More of Lizardmen documentary please. I smiled like an idiot cause that was pretty awesome. The elf was great, loved the ending shots of her, very sincere as always making me teary-eyed. The formula just works like a charm, watching this weekly is the greatest experience for this type of anime, i feel like a lot of the charm gets lost when binging. This is absolutely the best show of the season and i have it at 9/10 at this point. |

| Great episode again. There's honesty nothing much to say about the episodes, they're formulaic but works really well and the amount of detail on the food is astounding. It looks so good, watching each episode has been an absolute pleasure so far and I'm sure it'll stay that way. The elf being a vegan was slightly disappointing, I wanted to see more detailed meat textures. XDD |

| When the elf appeared I got the feeling that she was trying to show up the chef with the vegen dish and he rose to the challenge and as a result gave her a goal to make better food than him. Seemed a bit douchey at first but iy came out very nicely |

| I liked a lot how the lizardman speak fluidly while talking with his relatives, but have a more rough speaking when he was talking with Aletta and the chief. It may look as an small detail, but that indicates lizardman doesn't have exactly the same language as the humans, and that is an interesting thing, since adds more details to the other world. Also, I didn't expected elfs to be vegans xD |

| It's nice to see elves as vegan. Tolkien based his elves on the hippies of the 70's. In some stories they only hunt what they need but in other they live in the forests and interfere as little as possible with the natural ecosystem. |
| Why does the opening scene sound like a reading of some fanfiction? The narrator shit is annoying as fuck, this isn't a book, c'mon. I can stand the narrator talking about the food, but why do they need to say everything that happens? The anime's surprisingly interesting, but if this shit goes on I'll drop it. And then they drop it in the second half, lol can't even be consistent |

| I wasn't a big fan of the first half being basically only narration. Also in the second half there was a really janky rabbit animation with what seemed like only two different frames. Looked awful but not really a big deal, just caught my eye. Other than that the second half was nice. |
| It was funny to see the Elf so distrustful of the place but learning to like it after eating there. Hopefully she will be a bit less distrustful in the future, tho i can't really blame her. Anyway it was also nice to see the reptile tribes and their habits. |
| The narration from a lizardman point of view in the first part was one of the most hilarious things I've seen recently. Brilliant idea! :D With the comments on the taste and that letter in the end, I get the feeling the elf's mother used to visit the restaurant as well... |

| At first I thought this is some kind of lizard porn, but then I rechecked, and it still was episode 4 of Isekai Shokudou... Strange idea, but I guess it was ok. Vegan elf story was quite bad. No meat, fish, milk or eggs in human cuisine? That's like one third of human cuisine, are you kidding? Or in that world there is some kind of death penalty for not eating ingredients of animal origin in every dish? OMFG. OK, but disappointing, previous episode was muuuuuuuch better. |
| Those different omelette rice dishes looked so delicious, I need to try omelette rice at some point in my life. Even in anime, the vegans are obnoxious. And just in case any vegans potentially read this comment and get triggered, yes, I'm joking (kind of sad that I even have to put this disclaimer but you know how sensitive people are nowadays). |

I don't think Tolkien based his elves on the hippies of the 70's. The Hobbit was written in the 1930s, and eventually the Lord of the Rings was published in the early 1950s. Tolkien died in 1973 (around 80 years old). |

| I liked the lizardman scene a lot. It reminded me of an ethnographic documentary, like from National Geographic, especially at first. I like the way it was presented. The elves are vegan. (or at least this particular elf) So....why is she carrying a bow? It's definitely not for hunting. | This is such a great iyashikei anime... haven't had the pleasure of following one for a long time. Absolutely relaxing to watch. That narration tho <3 Good thing I was eating while watching! |

| I can't get over the music in this anime It's so calming and relaxing, it's wonderful. Dammit when is Kuro going to show up! I liked how the Lizardmen were so hyped about eating Omurice I thought that was pretty funny. Also I love how the Elf wanted Tofu, that actually makes sense since Elves are more known to be one with Nature and go for a more Vegan life style. That was awesome. More Elves next week and LION!!!! |

| The first part was weird... the second part was nice with vegan elves, though the quality of the visuals were often lacking like most of the budget was spent on drawing the food and the close ups on the lizard hero lol. Looking forward to seeing more elves in the next episode(s). |

| Great episode. Never thought I would see a Lizardman eat omelette rice, but it looked so delicious. Love seeing the raw ingredients & preparation before the dish is made. All the Lizardmen are so happy to see the food. Fardania is a cute elf. That tofu steak looks good. |

| With the narration in the first half of the episode it felt like I was reading a novel, this part was probably intentionally directed with that thought in mind. It was a nice touch tbh |

| Impressively, they managed to find a way to make this even more boring as usual in the first half (crappy lizard-man documentary/porno, seriously?) while the second half was a bit better but not very interesting either. Also, what was with the random shot of breastfeeding just before the ED began? It felt very random and out of place. |
| When I saw the preview of the last episode I was kind of expecting the girl to be vegetarian and thought that she would be eating the omuraisu (didn't know omuraisu contains chicken). And I was actually expecting the lizardmen to eat something more meaty. This second half of this episode is the only thing that made this show worthwhile for me, the Elf was really pretty and "vegan" was really unexpected coming from a Japanese series. The tofu didn't look all that appetizing to me though. |

| Tbh I really hate the anime with narrator like the first half of the episode and I still think the side story about each customer wasn't really necessary (except if they'll appear again or something like that). But the food that they present is really good and it's worth to watch. Fine episode. |

| That tofu Steak and Omurice has me all drooling now.... The lizardman's story was nice in showing how all different species have different lifespans in this world. Being the "Hero" of his tribe for the last 30 some years seems to have a lotta perks, eh? As for elf girl, going by her story and the way her father wanted to hand her that letter, I get the feeling that her mother may have been a previous frequenter of the restaurant before. Loving the chill aspect of this show to be honest. It all feels so great just watching everyone eat their favorite foods..... well for the eyes anyway (less so for my stomach XD) |
