 An official website was launched for Kyoto Animation's anime adaptation of the light novel Violet Evergarden, revealing staff members along with a promotional video and a key visual. Yui Ishikawa (Shingeki no Kyojin) will cast as Violet. The anime is scheduled to broadcast in Winter 2018. | Hyped! They picked some solid staff for this so far and the quality (visual wise) looks great. From what I heard, the story follows more of an episodic structure so it'll be curious to see how they plan to adapt this. |

What most of the other studios can't even dream of achieving in featured films, KyoAni keeps on setting the benchmark for themselves in TV anime. When I saw Clannad After Story, I thought it was impossible. Then came Hyouka and I was like NO WAY and most recently Hibike! Euphonium shattered everything from them thus far. Going by the teasers, I am sure Violet Evergarden will set yet another benchmark. |

| Feels like KyoAni are overcompensating now after pushing out quite a few anime that some of the staff probably are ashamed of as artists. I hope this has some soul to it, and not just polish. At the very least, I can appreciate a fantasy setting that isn't the standard copypasta 99.6% of fantasy anime are, but then again, Victorian is pretty overused too. |

| Seems kinda late, but it's still something. I am so hyped for this. They got really good staff picks, and even Ishikawa Yui as Violet sounds like a really good experience. I can't wait to see how this turns out. |
