| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- "On the Night of Passionate Vows" o_O, did Oscar & Andre share a passionate kiss or more? First they're kissing, then they're naked, then they're lying on the ground and we see lights & sparkles.... When you see those kinds of special effects I guess its official. Well besides that it looks like the revolution is on. There are mobs going around pillaging and plundering and god knows what else. Speaking of the mobs, weren't Oscar and Andre roaming the woods trying to avoid them? That takes some balls to get it on in enemy territory. |

| The scene of Andre getting asked to see Oscar at the barracks was sad but meanwhile the one when he was describing the portrait was sad too I just couldn't stop cringing, I couldn't bear more of Andre pretending to no be going blind. | This is my first post here and my intention was to keep it after I had completed the series and saying my overall thoughts in the end - but I can't hold it anymore. This episode deserves it, in the end. :) It epitomized everything that made this series feel like old red wine: vintage and special at the same time. It's also among the few episodes in anime that made me tear up - and I've seen a lot, both modern and old. In a way, it felt like Andre's painting: capturing the essence of fleeting beauty, love and joy, before it gets swept away. I'm not sure I'm ready for the final three episodes, I too would be gratified if it ended here and we got a "happy ending" - but, I'll just have to go on until the end. You can't change history and I guess the same goes for this series... :) |
