So i know scores are arbitrary and don't really mean anything except to the person entering the scores themselves. But i'm curious on how often you change your shows why and which shows.

For me I usually don't change it but there are two that have been on my mind recently.

Kill La Kill I have an 8 (8.8) and recently after just listening to the music and seeing more pictures of it on this website i'm slowly growing closer to it...? Wat

and Shigatsu Wa Kimi no uso which I gave a 10 (9.7). But I feel like that one was just cause it was sort of the heat of the moment and I was feeling the saddness and epicness of the last episode rushed in so i had a good memory of it but after thinking back on it...like 60% of it was hella boring wtf

EDIT: I guess the most important thing i'm asking is what scores have you changed before and why

I generally tend not to change my numbers too often, it's usually only when I decide to rewatch a show, so I end up reevaluating it as well.

I enter the first score at the halfway point and then once I finished the show. I might come back it later (a week or so) when the hype inside my head has calmed down so I can objectively look at the series as a whole and compare it to the other things I've watched. After that, I occasionally change it.

Not often. I don't even usually bother to rate a show until after I've finished watching all the episodes.

When I give someone new I've watched an 8 or above. I'd go back to check how that new anime compares to the ones I've watched. Come to think of it, I'm thankful to MAL for not having decimal ratings, since I'd probably spend days on end making sure everything is rated just correctly.

I revisit it every few months or so and then change scores of shows that I might have made too high simply because I was hyped up after the show.

When people start talking shit about an anime I rated so highly. So I change my scores immediately to make it more acceptable.

Joke.

I only ever alter my scores upon rewatch & the only anime I recall doing that with is WATAMOTE, which went from a 9 to an 8, so it's not a frequent thing. I don't know if it was because the comedy wasn't strong enough to support repeat viewings (still laughed quite a bit a some jokes mind you) or if my watching of Welcome to the NHK around the same time was hurting my opinion of it but it just didn't work as strongly for me the second time around.

Generally one time. I give a first score juste after I finish watching the anime and maybe 1 month later I give it a second score. Most of the time it's the same as the first one, except for Red Data Girl (6 to 5), Winter Sonata (5 to 6), and some others i dont recall...

Mondays 21:00 - 21:05 I change my scores for romcoms
Tuesday 22:05 - 22:10 I change my scores for everything else

Seriously, what kind of question is that? I change it whenever I feel like it needs to be changed; usually after watching some show (and having more comparissons) or when the hype goes down.

Within my first 4 or 5 years of watching I'd re rate a lot of my anime, just go through my list every year or so after watching a lot in between and adjust my ratings. Since I got almost to 1,000 watched I've stopped it almost completely(at least in that way). I'll almost only re rate when I rewatch.
