| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow that escalated quickly. OP song is okay I guess. I haven't played the game yet but action makes sense on most parts. I have some mixed thoughts on the character designs but whatever. I can't say I'm surprised by the bits of fan service either. Aruka best girl. I'm hoping they do some decent world building soon too. And what, they got guns in their world ;o and boy, they don't waste time with the killings already. |

| All women in it look very beautiful. Especially Jin Varel is so. She wears the costume looks like Bayonetta. However, I was annoyed by the story setting that Aruka with two knives can kill the persons armed with guns. And the drawing of the characters' face sometimes get out of shape. Therefore I don't expect this series too much now. |

| Gonzohaters everywere. Phh. How I tired of this. Everytime Gonzo makes smth new, people start complaining it's bad even if it's better than most of the animes aired the same season. Just because it's Gonzo. I actually liked the first ep. Plot is nothing special but action is decent and they don't afraid to shopw blood so I have hopes for it. |

Well it is just that ever since the companies resurrection from bankruptcy they havent really made an anime tv series that has so much of an impact as it it did in its early days so people are expecting it to be bad. I do agree with your point tough it is better to judge an anime not by studio name but actually seeing it first then u have the right to criticize. I actually chose to watch the series because it is actually made by Gonzo because i loved the studios earlier works for Example: Vandread, Hellsing, Gankutsuou, Blue submarine no. 6 etc... and i am continuing to monitor every series they make to see if they can get there spark back. So far there best production since thier re-emergence for me anyway was the Bayonetta film. but i am still hoping and if someone wants to criticize my reasons go ahead its not going to make a difference. |
| I personally liked Last Exile 2 and Bayonetta. And this reminded me of the latter adaptation. So I really can't understand why people complain so much. |

Probably to make themselves feel they are more important. This has been the case since the internet age began so its not going to change. Last Exile i still need to see it has been on my watch-list for some time. Sci fi and Steampunk are two best combos :) |

| I really enjoyed it. A lot of people take fan service as a bad thing, but personally, as long as it isn't all there is, I don't mind it. The fighting scenes were good, the character designs seem acceptable. I don't have anything to complain about, it was entertaining and worth the 20 minutes it took me to watch it, though it probably isn't worth much more than that. I really don't understand why people go into things expecting not to like it, I mean why are you watching it then? No one is forcing you. |

| i really wonder what some ppl expect from an anime based on a mmorpg..a deep,unpredictable and complex plot? the animation and art looks good..there is tons of CGI but doesnt stand out, which is very important. i absolutely HATE those 3d cgi shows..they are such an eyesore. the action scenes looked quite good to me (watched in 720p) and that is the most important part for a show that has tons of fights and battles. 4/5 atleast someone isnt stuck in a mmo again ffs. |

| So is this worth it for the same reasons the game is (glorious ass n tits)? Because the game is fucking awful aside that, and luckily 100% focused on providing that well, so if the show lacks that then why does it exist? I'll get around to checking myself, but I'm asking for now anyway. |

| I'm always wary about game anime adaptations especially off a generic Korean MMORPG. Don't think I've seen a single one that was decent. The game is never coming out in the US. It's been delayed for an eternity now lol. |

| The blood looked terrible but where Ga Gante killed this commoner was awesome. I feel like a bit of the voices syncing with the animation was off. Lots of action for the episode but it was enjoyable. |

| It was decent. The OP and okay. The ED was pretty good. My expectations for this were not very high. But I will tune in next week to see if this will keep my interest or not. |

| Pretty mediorce as expected, but the fights were not as horrible as I thought they would be. I guess the reason why the MC has pretty much no personality is because shes supposed to emulate the player character. Also char designs are much better than 90% of shit that gets released, I guess Gonzo learned something from doing Bayonetta. Best thing about this anime is that it has no freakin' lolis. It's more or less Queen's blade but actually taking itself seriously lol. Yeah overall a pretty low-tier but enjoyable anime for the spring season. |

| i thought it was gonna go like how the game went.. i've never seen an anime based off of a game but they were at tomon inn and moshiri village which is like mid/end game.. but i guess it was cool recognizing those areas and characters while hearing familiar music. |

| I would say the action and story were promising so I'll stick to this. But the fanservice was kind of distracting, and character designs were okay. Asuka was pretty badass for the most part. |

Yeah, Alka is basically the Player Character, but I'm glad they went with a badass woman instead of a emo teen boy. Also, the first episode's story is anime original. I'm guessing the next episode will flash back to Alka's past so we actually start where the game starts. Regarding the lolis, they'll probably show up later. There's an entire loli race in the game. |

| Liked the fight scenes and Alka, but most of this episode was pretty meh. I don't really know what to make of this show yet, just gonna have to wait and see. Girls are hot! Also, the eastern european style setting is nice as well, it reminds me of Spice and Wolf. |

Blade to the neck and your friends, got to love that logic :P Poor villagers :/ She randomly cut her hair? Not a bad first episode in my opinion, it set the plot up albeit in a somewhat cliched way. |
