Reposting my 2013 top 10 list here.
I will not change or add anything to it. Here are the rules I followed while making this top 10 six months ago: no shows which continued airing in 2014 (so no Golden Time, Kill la Kill and so on), and only pick from the ones I actually saw. The following list is of the absolute best anime I've seen in 2013!

  1. JoJo's Bizzare Adventure
  2. Psycho-Pass
  3. Attack on Titan
  4. Monogatari Series: Second Season
  5. Shinsekai Yori
  6. Hataraku Maou-sama!
  7. Railgun S
  8. High School DxD New
  9. TWGOK: Megami-Hen
  10. Servant X Service

Q: Why SNK is not number 1?
A: This list is based on my personal opinion. And IMHO JoJo's and PP are better than SNK.

Spring 2014 anime season is now over and it's time to make another top 10!

A few things I must address before I continue with this. First, I decided to start adding two-or-more-cour anime to these lists regardless of whether they are finished at the end of particular season or not. My reason behind this decision is while it might be unfair to judge an unfinished anime, it's even more unfair to completely neglect it as if it didn't even exist. Second, with the above decision in mind if a particular anime appears on more than one of my seasonal top 10 lists, it will be based on the episodes that aired only during that season. I will judge the whole thing after the last episode comes out and at that time it will be considered for a spot in the annual top 10. And lastly, as always this is my top 10 list, based on my personal opinions, and don't watch every single anime out there.

Well, let's get to it then!

-NUMBER 10-
Baby Steps
Baby steps to giant strides! This anime is like if they made an anime about Inui from PoT.

-NUMBER 9-
Date A Live II
My guilty pleasure anime of the season :)

-NUMBER 8-
Black Bullet
Very good sci-fi action anime, cool characters, and great music. Tina - loli of the season.

-NUMBER 7-
Mangaka-san to Assistant-san
Very funny little anime. Only drawback is 13 minute long episodes.

-NUMBER 6-
Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii
A shojo anime with a little kid as the romance interest? Yep! And it's awesome!!!

-NUMBER 5-
Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei
A lot of people hate this one because "the main character is too overpowered". As for me, I appreciate the occasional break from the usual useless MC trend.

-NUMBER 4-
Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou
This anime is hilarious, Sayaka is my new waifu, end of story.

-NUMBER 3-
Hitsugi no Chaika
If I had to pick one most underrated anime of Spring 2014 it would be this one. If you haven't seen this one then give it a shot. It's great and there will be a second season this fall.

-NUMBER 2-
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders
Great adaptation and great series! Honestly, as a fan of all JoJo's manga I was sure that this was going to be my number one until I saw...

-NUMBER 1-
No Game No Life
What a treat this one is! Great art, colorful cast of characters, lots of jokes, references, and solid OST. My only complaint is that there's no second season announced (yet).

As the title says it is time to look through all the currently airing anime I'm watching and pick the top ten I enjoy the most. And while the number one is probably an obvious choice, the other nine will be a total pain to line up. I also must mention that while I do watch most of the currently airing shows, I by no means watch every single one (refer to My anime list to check this if you want). Anyway, that's enough for my excuses so without further ado let's dive right into it!

-NUMBER 10-
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren
Loved the first season. This one's a bit disappointing but had it's moments nonetheless.

-NUMBER 9-
D-Frag!
This anime is hilarious, Roka is adorable and Takao is my waifu. End of story.

-NUMBER 8-
Nagi no Asukara
Absolutely beautiful art style (a.k.a. visuals) and OST. Story is not too shabby either.

-NUMBER 7-
Tokyo Ravens
Tokyo Ravens started as your average magic/school/dumb MC anime, but seriously picked up at the second half. Plenty of awesome magical fights, hype moments, some drama and Kon. I love Kon :)

-NUMBER 6-
Nisekoi
I love Shaft's (the company) work. This anime, while far from being over, is shaping up nicely so far.

-NUMBER 5-
Seitokai Yakuindomo*
Huge fan of this anime's randomness, jokes and sexual innuendo. Also, it's great to see it get a proper second season after all the OVAs it had.

-NUMBER 4-
Golden Time
The big ones start here! This one in particular has some amazing support characters, good OST (dat first ED is fantastic!), solid love story and NANA (yes she deserves being mentioned separately).

-NUMBER 3-
Log Horizon
While being about being trapped in an MMO, Log Horizon is more focused on the politics, relationships between characters and discovering the world they are trapped in. There's also some some legit MMO combat every now and then: holy trinity, skill cooldowns and all! The gamer in me is pleased with this one.

-NUMBER 2-
Noragami
This one came out of nowhere for me. Dig everything about this show: the art, the OST and the characters all great. Awesome job, Bones.

-NUMBER 1-
Kill la Kill
Surprised? You shouldn't be! Hype! Madness! Fanservice! Crazy characters! Over the top fight scenes! Killer soundtrack! Kill la Kill has it all multiplied by ten! It manages to be absolutely ridiculous and epic at the same time. Huge props to Trigger for making such a fantastic work of art! Love every second of it.

I should also mention that the only reason I have not gone mad waiting for Stardust Crusaders is thanks to KLK.

And so this top 10 is now complete. Winter-spring 2014 season is almost over; Spring-Summer season is only a few weeks away and with it more great anime to watch of course!

Thanks for checking out this list and see you next time :)
