Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren

It is a continuation of the original series that continues the story of Yuuta and Rikka and their relationship. The series has a beautiful and emotional story, with a perfect blend of humor and drama. The characters are well-developed and relatable, making them easy to get invested in. The art style is also incredible, with vivid animation and engaging backgrounds that bring the story to life. In addition, the soundtrack is top-notch, providing a good atmosphere for the series.

I would definitely recommend Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions: Heart Throb to those looking for an emotional journey and a heartwarming story. It provides a good balance ... between humor and drama, with the former bringing the overall tone of the series in a lighthearted and entertaining direction, whereas the latter touches upon more real-life themes of acceptance and relationships. The characters are all well-developed and relatable, making them easy to get invested in. The animation quality has also improved, and the soundtrack is quite memorable and engaging.

This left me feeling...empty. unfinished. definitely wanting. it's like they intentionally left it incomplete.

second year kids still acting in a fantasy world like they are is a bit of a stretch for me. if they were like MS, it would be believable. I think my biggest problem were some of the characters that went along with them as the days past on. they brought down the best ones in the show.

Rika - I love Rika, I really do, but the fantasy part needs to be dialed back from 10 to 5. she'd be more realisitic and able to attempt to communicate with ... others, especially Yuuta. Kudos to her for making the most of a relationship with Sofia, though! That was some truly mature junk right there. She develops well, despite holding on to too many of the fantasy things. Thank you to Sofia for showing her what she needed to do to focus herself in the hardest of times.

Yuuta - he's the worst chacter in this show, hands down. dumber than a box of rocks and can't achieve anything other than abusing Rika to do things. yanking by her hair and pulling her out of bed. standing over her to do her homework while she has a cold - ready to hit her on the head if she deviates. I mean standing there is one thing, but hitting her in the head - anytime - is just stupid. he trreats her as if she's younger and inferior to her, more like that kid next door that doesn't go home and causes mayhem. if there weren't any side characters to tell him what to do, he'd be completely irrelevant.

Sofia - the best character in the series. sure, she's way out of touch with the fantasy theme as well, but she shows signs of being human, with real emotions and honest sincerity the whole way through. she puts herself through emotional hell to selflessly help Rika when she needs to. she's the one that's worth watching this show for, I think. team her with Rika and you have a great combo to watch.

Kazuha - just a small shout out the Kazuha - while she's a minor character, she's like many anime little sisters and does everything around the apartment. she's small and sweet and utterly adorable.

There is the *large* main supporting cast that are prevalent, but they're all the same - out of touch and truly annoying - and what would the show be without that one character that could use some anger management classes?

I can't say I don't recommend it, but you should go down with lower expectations than with other shows.

I've never given a series a review before, but for this, I feel like I have to.

The first season of Love Chuunibyou was, to me, a brilliant show, it had a defined and playful sense of humour (even if it wasn't for everyone), an overwhelming sense of atmosphere granted by KyoAni's incredible animation and a loveable cast of characters; but above that, all of this was in service to a deeply touching message about growing up, facing trauma and and embracing your childish side. we got to watch our favourite characters get challenged in a meaningful way, forced to evolve and mature as people. I ... understand that it wasn't a show that everyone could enjoy, but it meant something and made itself one of my all time favourite shows. It was also a show with an ending. A definite one. One which needed no sequel.

Season 2 of Love Chuunibyou feels like an insult to that show.
All character development is stripped away in favour of harmless marketable waifus; the show becomes absolutely obsessed in completely trivial developments in the main relationship; the side characters become parodies of themselves. The show, in essence, has been turned into a moeblob. The show no longer has anything meaningful to say, characters don't develop in any way, instead simply going through the motions of benign slice of life bullshit and relationship melodrama.

From the moment you start watching, it is obvious why this season exists- it's a cashgrab; blatant as anything.
It takes the love people had for the story and characters of the original and attempts to cash in on it with twelve episodes of filler crap. It's an insult to the author, it's an insult to the emotions that the entire team working to adapt it poured into it and it's an insult to any audience member who felt a connection to the first season.

This is a stain on the reputation of the first season, it was frankly painful to watch and I wish it had never been greenlit.
I hope the executive who did so stubs their toe.
