| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I loved Eugine's technicolor dreamcoat in this episode. Very snazzy to look at. I enjoyed Chiaki's performance more, but Eugenie's was still pretty awesome. This was the first episode that I didn't spend most of my time being annoyed with Albert. He still was really annoying when he ran into the Count though. |

| I liked the scene where Albert ran to the count- you could hear the frustration and desperation in Alberts voice. Although The Count is obviously using Albert/others for his own gains, I feel that he does have a certain soft spot for the boy. |

XD It's nice that Eugenie and Albert both like each other... so hopefully "politics" won't get in the way of their relationship. D: Though, I have to say, it was kind of sad that Eugenie didn't even have enough faith in Albert to believe that he would come - and to not perhaps theorize that something was preventing him from coming when he didn't show up... | Bah. I had this on hold for way too long. Now that my computer is dead and I have nothing else to do, looks like I can work my way through my anime DVD collection(read: backlog). In particular, I can't say why I put Gankutsuou on hold in the first place. It's quickly becoming one of my personal favorites. Too bad about Albert and Eugenie. |

| My frustration with Albert continues (so blind to the Count's obvious involvement in all of his misfortunes...) Something tells me Albert and Eugenie aren't going to end up together :'( (probably part of the Count's plan...) Of course this happens once they realize their feelings for each other Her dress was gorgeous. Also Franz is such a good guy. |

| Must every episode end in a cliffhanger? Eugenie's performance was beautiful and so was she. It was a rather slow, uneventful episode aside from that. Didn't really feel some parts of it, especially in the first half. Somehow I feel as if being "arrested" by Valentine's father is all within the Count's plan. |

| Eugenie playing the piano is beautiful, I love piano. Wish I could play. Her and Albert nearly kissed until new blonde dude ruined it. Pfft. Albert running to the Count at the end, well ... he kinda acted like a little kid, I get it, sort of but still lol. Plus now the Count is arrested, wonder what will happen next. |

| That little midget forced Mondego to give everything he had to keep his mouth shut. Considering that he and the other two powerful patriarchs had something to do with Edmond Dantes' death, it's interesting how he'd go after just one of them. Maybe he figured that the Count spreading rumors made them more vulnerable or maybe he knows that Mondego's not the type to sneakily tie up loose ends with unconventional means like the two. Eugenie and Albert's late-budding romance was very cute but I lament the fact that it took them so long to finally show each other's feelings. Danglars is doing his all in sabotaging Albert's advances and Benedetto swooped in for the kill and showed the public her new fianceé. Even if the Count was the one responsible for all this, Albert couldn't help but bawl his eyes out on his shoulders out of frustration. Villefort's got him cornered and I wonder how he'll get himself out of this mess. |

| Lol, I think we can collectively agree that how frustratingly blind Albert has chosen to be in all this so far. And that Cavalcanti is an asshole. :P chekrd said: Eugenie was gorgeous this episode! Really though, her outfits were stunning, especially her dress for the concert. All gold and sparkly. *o* Distressed Albert running into the Count's arms made me feel things, man. Makes me wonder if he looks up to him as a father figure or as a really close friend. It's strange how trusting he is of the Count. I guess it's youthful naivety and the fact that he's easily impressed by all the "deep life facts" the Count's tossed around. I really find their relationship intriguing though. It'll be interesting to see how it'll play out, and I have the suspicion that the Count plans to use Albert (most likely against his parents). |

| A great couple ruined by the count...He brought Cavanti into the picture I’m sure he is causing all this for his revenge. Albert jumping into the counts arms crying like a child was lame and shows how immature Albert actually is. |
| I really enjoyed this episode, Eugenie looked fabulous. One thing I didn't get is why they haven't killed the midget who knows about their secret? Surely it wouldn't be hard for men of their caliber. |
