@Tatsugaia88 Anything that Crunchyroll initially announces sub-only is unlikely to be dubbed anytime soon, if ever, based on current trends, unless it’s licensed by a another party known for managing dubs themselves, such as Aniplex of America or Toei. Which Farmagia doesn’t seem to fall under to my knowledge. So I wouldn’t hold my breath. |

I'm a bit perplexed. I noticed that the Hibike Euphonium dub has landed on the high seas but isn't available to legally stream anywhere. After searching it looks like Crunchyroll did the dub, but it's only been released on Blu-ray so far (unless the dub is only available in some countries that don't include the UK, which is possible). Is this usual, and why haven't they made it available to stream, or are they holding back the streaming release date in the hope of enticing more people to buy the blu-ray first? Also, been checking every day for the next One Piece dub batch to land (eps 1097-1108), but nothing yet. Will it be landing in December or might they hold back until January 2025? |

11 Completed Dubs Total 4 Netflix Anime 3 Crunchyroll Anime 2 Aniplex of America Anime 1 Amazon Anime 1 Sentai Filmworks Anime Finished Simudubbed Anime - Fall 2024
32 Completed Dubs Total 20 Cruncyroll Anime 5 Sentai Filmworks Anime 2 Aniplex of America Anime 1 Adult Swim Anime 1 Disney Anime 1 GKIDS Anime 1 Netflix Anime 1 REMOW Anime 43 Total Dubs Completed - Fall 2024 23 Crunchyroll Anime 6 Sentai Filmworks Anime 5 Netflix Anime 4 Aniplex of America Anime 1 Adult Swim Anime 1 Amazon Anime 1 Disney Anime 1 GKIDS Anime 1 REMOW Anime Final Statistics for Fall 2024: In Fall 2024 there were 43 English Dubs completed. There were 11 Released Dubs and 32 Finished Simuldubs. There were 6 dubbed films and 37 dubbed shows (only anime titled as a movie on MAL are considered films, the rest I am considering shows). Fall 2024 shows (not films) had the equivalent of about 56 normal length released dubbed episodes and 416 normal length simuldubbed episodes (= 472 episodes). For those wondering where the monthly stats posts went, I decided to list the monthly stats here instead in a very compressed way. October 2024 - 5 Released Anime + 20 Simuldubbed Anime = 25 Anime November 2024 - 2 Released Anime + 2 Simuldubbed Anime = 4 Anime December 2024 - 4 Released Anime + 10 Simuldubbed Anime = 14 Anime Just as a side note, I only included entries here that were fully dubbed, meaning that all the episodes in the MAL entry it corresponds to were dubbed. This excludes shows like One Piece which was dubbed by Crunchyroll (1096/????), Pokémon Horizons: The Series which was dubbed by The Pokemon Company International (45/??), and Beyblade X which was dubbed by Sunrights Inc. (38/??) Additionally, this isn't including theatrically released films that haven't yet been released in physical or digital formats, like My Hero Academia: You're Next, OVERLORD: The Sacred Kingdom, and Ghost Cat Anzu. Lastly, this list doesn't include the many special episodes/OVAs/recap films/etc. that get dubbed. It's just for TV series and movies for the most part. This also doesn't include "adult anime." Remakes and reboots are allowed as well as ONA series and OVA series. There may be a couple of exceptions, but that is the general rule. A side note: Beastars: Final Season is very likely going to be split on MAL, so I included the entry for it for this year. If it doesn't get split, I will retroactively remove it from this year's dub stats. So tallying up all of the anime in 2024 there have been 176 completed dubs, which is a decent amount less than last year, and it's tied with 2018 as the least amount of dubs since this thread's creation besides the Covid delayed year of 2020. Stay tuned for the full year 2024 Statistic rundown which will be released this weekend! Happy Birthday Kenny and Happy New Years to everybody! |

In 2024, about 80 (45.5%) of the anime were brand new shows getting dubbed, and about 96 (54.5%) of the anime were sequels/prequels/remakes/etc. Backlog Dub Stats The downward trend of backlog dubs appears to be continuing. 2021 had 57 dubs which aired before 2020, with a combined total of 382 backlogged years. 2022 had 40 dubs which aired before 2021, with a combined total of 310 backlogged years (which includes both the longest gap for a movie (53 years) and a TV series (51 years). 2023 had 29 dubs which aired before 2022, with a combined total of 274 backlogged years. 2024 had 27 dubs which aired before 2023, with a combined total of 218 backlogged years. Dub Records Set in 2024 1: Not exactly a record, but it's interesting nonetheless. It's the first time Crunchyroll has used VSI Group to dub an anime (Sound! Euphonium). 2: Not exactly a record, but it's interesting nonetheless. It's the third year in a row that Crunchyroll's in-house studio dubbed 84 anime. 3: A record in a bad way, it's a record low amount of released dubbed anime (not simuldubbed) since keeping track of basic dub output in 2017. Only 56 this year, and that's 20 less than 2023 (and 2023 was already a drastic drop from the previous years. 4: A record in a bad way, Sentai had a record low 16 dubs, which is the least amount of dubs since keeping track of basic dub output in 2017. In tandem with this, Sentai also released zero dubbed films this year. 5: A record in a bad way, 2024 had the least amount of dubbed films since keeping track of detailed dub output in 2021. 2021 had 43, 2022 had 35, 2023 had 29, and 2024 only had 22. 6: A record in a bad way, this is the first year since keeping track of basic dub stats in 2017 that there wasn't a dub from before the year 2000. The earliest dub this year was Discotek's Lovely Complex from 2007. Entries which aren't on the list because of being a OVA/special/etc. 22 MAL Entries Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction Episode 0 (OVA - Crunchyroll) Genshin Impact: The Song Burning in the Embers (ONA - HoyoVerse) Golden Kamuy OVA (OVA - Crunchyroll) Golden Kamuy Season 2 OVA (Incomplete OVA - Crunchyroll) Kagejitsu! 2 (ONA - Sentai Filmworks) Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You - Digest Video (Recap - Netflix) Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You - Unrequited Love (Recap - Netflix) Laid-Back Camp Season 3 Specials (Specials - Crunchyroll) My Happy Marriage OVA (OVA - Netflix) My Hero Academia: Memories (Recap - Crunchyroll) One Piece: A Project to Fully Enjoy! `Surgeon of Death` Trafalgar Law (Recap - Crunchyroll) One Piece: A Very Special Feature! Euphonium - Ready, Set, Monaka (OVA - Crunchyroll) That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3: Digression - Diablo's Journal (Recap - Crunchyroll) That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3: Digression - Luminous Memories (Recap - Crunchyroll) The Dangers in My Heart: Twi-Yaba (ONA - Sentai Filmworks) Ya Boy Kongming! Road to Summer Sonia (Recap Film - Sentai Filmworks) For those that want to see everything listed neatly on a spreadsheet, here you go. I also added the dubbing studio behind each one (some might be wrong) and added in the 29 unfinished dubs of 2024. Additionally, I made it so that if you want to copy it all and keep it for yourself, you can do so and mark down which of the dubbed 2024 anime you have seen. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1y544oH1WlG4Yvqvy4el3bwLKo6jiCBozeBqbwNRtBJc/edit?gid=1449497486#gid=1449497486 So to end this off, my questions for everyone is what they think of the dub patterns over the last few years and which dubbing licensor disappointed them the most in 2024 and which licensor impressed them the most? For me Crunchyroll impressed me the most (solely because of the Sound! Euphonium dub) and Sentai Filmworks disappointed me the most (don't even get me started on their decision to pause dub production on Danmachi, haha). |

Didn't realize Sentai Filmworks has decided to stop dubbing the entire franchise completely. You would think they would just try to catch up with what is already been released so far which I think is up to episode 11. |

@ColourWheel That's what I meant by paused, that's it's been delayed until further notice. |
