Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari Season 3

Though he has successfully repelled the latest Wave of Catastrophe, Naofumi Iwatani—the Shield Hero—has no time to rest. Naofumi is spurred back into action when Queen Mirelia Q Melromarc tells him that the three other Cardinal Heroes have disappeared without a trace, and she tasks him with finding them.

With no clues regarding their whereabouts, Naofumi tackles a more pressing issue: the worsening slave trade of demi-humans. Determined to right this injustice, he and his friends find their way to Zeltoble, the country of mercenaries, where the illegal sale of demi-humans has become a lucrative business. To gather money to free the slaves, Naofumi and his comrades disguise themselves and take part in underground coliseum brawls, purposely throwing matches to manipulate the odds and eventually secure an enormous payout. However, with the threat of another Wave of Catastrophe looming on the horizon, the Shield Hero must stick to his mission of finding the missing heroes if he wants to protect those he loves.

Season 1 is probably still the best however this season 3 is close 2nd everything was done very well even the pace was incredible . For the people who felt disappointed with season 2 which was really disappointing . The 3rd season near the quality of the 1 season I recommend you giving it a chance. This season is more about the other characters growth which is quite interesting and also about botch aweful deals . It easy to be manipulated by women. Since the ideal of women as positive trust into it. This season was thrilling and suspenseful. It just makes you want more ... .

Mixed Feelings

Man, I remember when both the second and third seasons were announced after the first season concluded. I was still in the hype of The Shield Hero, no one can deny, that it had momentum back in the day, however, time was unforgiving, and it killed the excitement. Season two came by eventually, but it had not capitalized on the previous build-up, it was stale and boring and further segmented the franchise’s image as one of the forgotten.

Thankfully, the third season did not hiccup. After the whole Spirit Tortoise arc, which was underwhelming, this season tackled a far more interesting point which revolved around the ... disappearance of the Cardina Heroes.

Speaking on a visual plane, the season could not escape the modern animation paradox that consists of remarkable 2D animation that’s slowed down with a very mediocre 3D counterpart, it’s the Achilles’ heel curse of this series, much like many other Isekais.

Thankfully, I can speak better about the sound department in what consists of the opening theme which was a standout for this season. My compliments extend to the OST as well as the above-average voice acting.

Character development, or the lack thereof, is a significant shortfall in this season. Every other character that’s not Naofumi falls off immensely from standing out. I have seen more engaging wooden planks in my life it all feels like a lifeless one-world game where the only colorful character is the one playable.

I hate to say it, but despite this season being better than the last, it is definitely still not comparable to the first one and is a mixed bag in and of itself. I would find myself enjoying moments of it, but never the whole episode and that’s very problematic.

Overall: 6.3/10.

This is it for me. I won't keep watching this anime. It wasn't as bad as s2 but even s3 fails to keep the bar as high as s1. S1 was fire, it seemed that this would be a very interested show but unfortunately s2 and s3 were bad/mediocre and render it not worthy of my time.

It got boring and stale because Naofumi and Raphtalia isn't the focus point any more. It tries to introduce a ton new characters with backstories that nobody cares about.

Another big problem is the fact that the other 3 heroes (specially spear and bow heroes) are complete idiots. ... In s1 spear hero was the only problematic hero but it made the story very interested. Well in s3 he turned into a braindead dumb-ass. Bow hero also acted like a 10 years old and sword hero failed into obscurity.

The romance between Naofumi and Raphtalia seems that it won't get much attention either.

The show took the wrong path to continue the story. Instead of having meaningful character development it tried to put a bunch of new characters that add nothing to the story.

For me is 4 maybe 5 at best. I won't keep coming back for s4 since i doubt that the show will ever be interested again.
