In his past life, Prince Lloyd de Saloum was a commoner who could not become adept at magic, no matter how knowledgeable or obsessed he was about it. Now reincarnated into his current royal lineage, he receives a body with seemingly endless mana, making his desire to master all things arcane attainable. Tensei shitara Dainana Ouji Datta node, Kimama ni Majutsu wo Kiwamemasu was a fun trash isekai to indulge in. It lacks depth, it doesn't do a good job at character development or provide screen time for some of the great characters in the show. This is just peak trash isekai, and that's okay.

Animation 8/10
- Really nice color palette, with solid fight animations, magic animations etc.
Sound 8/10
- Good OP/ED, good sound FX, good VA.
Story 2/10
- The anime departs from its introductory scene completely, which doesn't bother me, but I can't in good faith say it has a good plot.
Characters 6/10
- ... I love its cast, but unfortunately, I felt like they are sidelined too often, I would have loved seeing more Tao and Sylpha, and especially both of them together, as they have good chemistry.
Enjoyment 8/10
- As trash as it is, I loved it.

I can highly recommend this to isekai fiends.

Mixed Feelings

An anime that enhances its original work is quite rare to see, and what a surprise to see it happen with a "minor" work! It proves that even a story and plot-poor work can still be interesting due to its quality, because yes, unfortunately, this anime is a collection of clichés: a man reincarnates into a wealthy family with a medieval style, in a world of magic where he turns out to be overpowered, even the strongest man in that universe. We follow him from childhood, seeing his passion for magic and how he does everything to hide it from others to avoid attracting attention ... and lead a peaceful life. But alongside this, we see him easily defeat all kinds of monsters and demons. This is a simple summary of the anime, one that could fit dozens, or rather, hundreds of anime given how overused this pattern is.

But what makes this anime different from the others?

First of all, the settings. As I mentioned earlier, like most works of this genre, we find ourselves in a medieval universe, but this time, we slightly step out of the simple and overused settings seen in all these other works. The settings here are much more original, very colorful (and I emphasize the colorful aspect because I will come back to it several times), settings that are out of the ordinary and make our eyes sparkle!
The characters. Continuing from the story, the characters don’t really have depth, no writing, not much backstory to tell us, at best we can talk about the assassins in the last episodes and even then, but each has an eccentricity both in their behavior but especially visually. Again, very colorful, very lively characters!
Animation/Direction/Art. The biggest strength of this anime and also the most surprising! What a visual pleasure to see these choices in colors. For example, I think of the fight in the 5th episode which tinted the sky with all colors, it’s beautiful, it makes you want to see more, it sets this anime apart from the others. I loved that aspect!
The animation is not left out either. Even though it stays quite calm in the "slice of life" moments, during the fights it has nothing to envy from anyone. I have the final fight in mind, especially in episode 9, I did not expect such quality in a fight from such a minor work!
The settings, the art, the animation, and more broadly its eccentricity, are what make this anime enjoyable to watch, and they mask its flaws quite well. Unfortunately, it only lasts for a while; you still feel a big void of purpose. It was cool to see these 12 episodes, but when season 2 comes out, I probably won’t even take the time to watch it because I have no need to.
This is the kind of work that cannot last over time. As I said, what makes it special is its eccentricity and bold artistic choices, but what happens once our brains normalize this eccentricity? 12 episodes are cool, we can enjoy it, but after that, as the episodes go by, we are less and less absorbed by its artistic originality, which is ultimately like a band-aid covering its flaws. Without a real storyline and intriguing story, a work cannot last over time.

This anime proves two things: a work with a flat or even nonexistent plot and story can still be interesting to watch for a short time if its artistic quality compensates for it, but no matter its artistic quality, without an interesting storyline, no work can last over time regardless of its artistic quality.

That's enough, please enough is enough!
I'm sick and tired of anime that have MCs with unrivaled superpowers like this!

Market-themed anime or anime with themes that I have seen too many times are not worth watching!
The storyline and nonsense are almost similar to this, for example dying, having hope before dying, coming back to life in a world somewhere, having superpowers and living there, I've had enough of this bullshit!

Basically, this anime is just copying other anime stories, especially with the Isekai theme, although it's not towards Isekai but Reincarnation.
I don't understand for people who think of a story with a concept that has appeared so ... often in the world of anime, I expected something new! Not an anime that only requires copying and placing it in your anime story!

Apart from that, there is something that really bothers me, namely the strange character designs!
Please someone tell me whether this MC is a woman or a man?
I want to say it's a woman, but he has a name like a man and in his previous life he was also a man, so it is very likely that MC was reborn as a man.
I want to say it's a man, but he has a body like a woman, long hair and a woman's voice.
What's worse, this child has been invited to bathe with the servants and of course naked. So can this be called normal for a man to bathe with women so casually? No! Therefore I concluded he was a woman not a man!
But he said he was a woman made me ask the same thing again as above.
I don't know, I'm sick of talking about it, maybe this is intentional to attract certain groups and this is proven by the score being quite high, But unfortunately, I'm a normal person and am not at all interested in character designs like that, in fact I think it's something strange to look at.

Let's move on to the next discussion, especially the character named Grim who is ready to make your ears ring! And the feeling of wanting to throw the headset off your head, yeah I really hate hearing Tsukomi from him when the MC shows off his powers.

And there are many more elements that are almost the same as Isekai anime or reincarnation with other OP MCs.
I'm too busy to talk about all that!
