Synopsis

On one noteworthy day in the Adventurer's Guild, Kazuma Satou encounters someone unexpected—a fan of his named Ran. Surprised that he even has a fan, Kazuma attempts to play it cool to impress her. Unfortunately for him, the guild's receptionist arrives with a request to defeat a giant golem guarding some ancient ruins, and Kazuma accepts only to keep Ran's admiration.

Upon Kazuma and his party's successful return from the ruins, Kazuma continues to shamelessly brag to Ran. Capitalizing on his desperation, the receptionist approaches him with another quest that requires him to return to the same ruins. Hoping to find valuable treasures, Kazuma once again convinces his party to join him—but this time, he may be biting off more than he can chew.

I really like the world building we get from this OVA. The fact that pretty much all the crazy advanced magic in the universe is the result of another shut-in NEET like Kazuma. It has a lot of implications for the story going forward, but mostly it's just hilarious. And the whole sex robot thing, brilliant. The little golem hunting quest that our main cast gets to go on is also fun, showing us yet another botched mission by the worst adventuring party ever. Honestly as a group they could make anything fun to watch, because of the unique ways they'd all find to screw ...

Mixed Feelings
Just personal scratch.
Advised, possible spoilers.
Opinion & Informal

Art: 7/10
Overall, the same good art quality from the second season. Anatomy and proportions looked appealing. Subtle service shots were appreciated (like when Aqua was looking through one of the desks). Direct service shots looked appealing. Like the later half of the first season and the entirety of the second season, breast anatomy and physics were paid special attention to in this special episode more so than what I'd see in an ecchi-dedicated show which is a nice touch. Interiors were nicely detailed and looked fine. Exteriors looked fine too. However, the quality of nature showcase such as trees, ...

KonoSuba Ova 2

At least I have to say that this ova was somewhat more quality than the first. Here again, an attempt was made to bring bizarre elements into focus and to remove the fan service.

It worked to a certain extent, this single episode was quite strange as one would expect from the series. However, it contained hardly any actual joke and was mostly monotonous and flat. It doesn't come close to the actual level of the series and yet remains disappointing.

However, it contains a little more connection to the actual world of KonoSuba and should therefore at least be looked at. Even if the ...
