| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- An interesting start. There's a mixture of drama and comedy in this along with some mystery. We got introduction of the main characters and the concepts from the first episode. Along with that, there's also the game themes. I'm most interested in knowing more about that Zakuro (the guy with the mouth mask). |

| This is suuuuuuuuper shounen-y and reminds me a lot of AssClass which I dropped after 3 episodes because I couldn't take it seriously. I'm not foreseeing personal enjoyment with this show, either, but I'll give it 3 episodes. Super great animation, art, and OST though by Silver link, the show itself looks and feels fantastic! Nice heartwarming scene there at the end, too. |

| WHOA, the Assassination Classroom feels. Evident from the "trapped in game" scenario. And as expected of the classic Silver Link director, Shin Oonuma with the comedy-drama spin. To achieve the 100 million PewDiePie "subscriber" view count, interesting. A Let's Play of a game that exists IRL. And as per usual, game intro to characters and such. Paca DEFINITELY has the Koro-sensei feel. This Summer is turning my non-expectations into something else. And this game-drama is turning my thoughts upside down. Definitely an interesting anime. |

| It was pretty meh when they tried to be dramatic with the ghost. I feel no sense of fear, imminent danger or anything. More like a happy walk in the park if anything. I will give this 3 episodes. |
| I liked the visuals, good ideas there. Very weird start though, show seems too lighthearted to be a battle royale/death game type thing. The last thing i would have expected to like in here is the comedy, especially PAKA PAKA~ (Kenjirou Tsuda sure likes to voice animals, doesn't he?) |

| It was a good episode. I hope we're going to see more of the other characters though. I really like the MC because he's just too adorable. |

| Well this was all over the place, not to say I didn't enjoy it. My thirteen-year-old self would have loved this, nowadays it's not really for me but I do like the adorable giant panda. The premise is cool, a bunch of video game streamers for different genres are put into one real-life survival game being live-streamed. We'll see how it plays out, but it seems like one of those shows that will prioritize telling us all the quirks of the cast rather than actually developing any of them. At least that will make them easy to remember. I liked the Gary Stu protagonist and his friendship with the panda. There wasn't much animation either and the art was pretty mediocre. There were a few intruiging storyboards here and there, but the poor pacing and lack of animation gave them very little impact. |

| Felt a little all over the place but it was pretty decent. Not sure what to think of this yet but I'll stick around longer to see what becomes of it. The girls are cute though. |

| This was a bizarre opening episode. The pacing kinda felt weird and the random changes in art style and colour were really odd and jarring, but there's an interesting premise beneath all that; it's kind of like Danganronpa but also its own thing with the streamer angle and seemingly less murder to worry about. I'll keep an eye on this one, as I'm not sure if I liked it or not from this episode. At the very least, I'm not gonna remember the character names for quite some time (hell, it's probably easier to remember the games they specialise in). |

| Um...what? That was interesting to say the least. This is probably the most on-the-nose "by the power of friendship" anime I have ever seen. Hopefully it gets interesting because that was just some weird happy-go-lucky version of Btooom. |

| Not a bad start, but the fact the no-one basically seems to give a sh*t about that they just got kidnapped to play some weird real life games which people actually watch in live is just..... It's just so stupid Also about the giant rat and giant panda in the beginning It's the same deal, it's like they see one everyday, they so didn't care about it They are also totally fine with a spirit appearing in front of them out of nowhere and starts burning, nothing unusual That whole spirit part was totally out of concept, it's so random I'll keep watching it, it wasn't that bad and I don't judge it just by it's first episode, but it everything that happened in this episode was so random The only thing I actually liked in it is the spirit part itself, despite the things I mentioned above, and that song playing in the background, that was actually good |

| Super hyped for this. I love the directing and animation even if the character designs didn't quite work for me, and the concept is fantastic. It has a really distinct feel to it thanks to art, direction and mix of comedy with more seirous tones which is hard to pull off but it just worked here, for me at least. |

| Art, the music and general atmosphere of the show looked interesting. I just didnt like the assassination classroom vibes (cuz im not a fan). Overall, one of better first episodes of this season, for me of course :) |

I told him it was anime original so there was no way to know yet. I told him my first impression was Assassination Classroom and not Danganronpa/Kings Game. But sometime first impressions are very wrong with anime. I'm wondering the same about Granblem. Is it more Magical Girl Raising Project or less about Cute Girls Murder other Cute Girls for ultimate power. |

| Kind of reminded me of Danganronpa and Btoom. The protagonist is so cute. Hugging a panda only made him cuter. Not sure if this is supposed to be funny or creepy. The serious and funny scenes don't go very well together in this. The OP was quite forgettable. The story looks like it might get better later, so I'll continue. |

| Anyone got a strong Danganronpa vibe from this? Lots of wtf am I watching moment from the start. Character design is kinda similar too. The mc looks like a mix of Makoto and Kameada (Both are ultimate lucky student) Deep down he must be broken inside I bet too. |

| Reminds me of Btooom. The characters present certain stereotypes in an obvious way. I guess it kind of makes sense considering that each one of them plays certain type of games. Main character seems interesting. I hope there is more to him than his overwhelming kindness. I don't think any great expectations should be had when it comes to this. I assume it will be fun to watch but probably won't blow anyone away. |

How does that opinion invalidate what I have to say? I didn't knock this or AssClass, I never said anything negative about either of them. I just said I couldn't take AssClass seriously because it was super shounen-y and obviously nobody was ever in any danger. Same with this, there's no legitimate sense of danger. It's just not for me, that's all. I'm sure AssClass was really good and people that like that type of show highly enjoyed it. |
| Ehh i want to hate everything about this premise but sunday's hardly have anything right now besides Vinland so maybe i'll watch it i do love danganronpa and assassin/class but this it is not. can't get over how all the characters look like they should be in a niconico live music cover PV |
