| It has been announced via Twitter that the Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) franchise will receive a new animated film. The official site also lists Daisuke Ono and Maaya Sakamoto as returning cast members for the roles of Sebastian Michaelis and Ciel Phantomhive, respectively. Kuroshitsuji is a manga series by Yana Toboso. It has been serialized in Monthly GFantasy magazine since 2006 and is currently ongoing at 21 volumes. The series has received multiple anime adaptations, the last of which was a two-part OVA series titled Book of Murder, covering the Phantomhive Manor Murders arc. | Yawn yet another A-1/Aniplex thing for 2016 that is a sequel to a sequel to a sequel that only it's fans will care about. Still waiting on literally anything interesting or fresh to get announced, but it's looking less and less likely. Looks like they remain the only ones making anything really and 2016 is going to almost assuredly be even more boring and sequel filled than 2015 was. My backlog has never looked more appealing than at this point in time. |

The first season is drenched with filler and the Curry Contest Arc was completely rushed and had so many alterations in order to fit in with the story of Season 1. Because of this, Book of Circus and Book of Murder don't really stand on their own in anime form. Seriously, I don't understand why A-1 Pictures can't just reboot the whole damn thing like Bones did with FMA. They'd make more money that way. |
