| Animation for the fight scenes were the only saving grace of this episode. Everything else, from characters, to setting introduction, to plot development, all the way down even to fanservice, was downright terrible. But considering this is from a Korean MMORPG action fighting game, I guess it would be that way, no matter how you look at it. That's not to say that the animation was even spectacular, because, believe me, it isn't. Never had a thing for Gonzo, wanted to try something new so I started this series, but looks like an easy drop and only reconfirms why I don't watch too much anime of this genre. I don't necessarily recommend watching this one any further, but maybe I'll give it another episode to see if it'll pick up all the shrapnel it dropped this first episode as every story element blew itself up numerous times while the episode played. |

| "People expected a Japanese anime based on an UNRELEASED Korean mmo to be good?" Well, i've played the Chinese version (which is free to play) for a while. I didn't expect much from this anime and it managed to underachieve it. Not because it's from an mmorpg, but because it's from a really boring one. As someone mentioned earlyer, the game itself is nothing else but fanservice. Though i feel like the characters personality doesn't really match those of the game. The animation seemed crap at some points and those gun designs... And... Automatic rifles? Seriously? Then don't even talk about the futuristic looking pistols... PS. Yeah, i'm an NcSoft hater, ever since they ruined Aion. And i don't think they should make games for anyone but, age of 3 or under, players. |

| That Mulan-esque hair slice, though. And tits and ass everywhere. OP and ED are pretty forgettable but I can see the songs growing on me if I were to listen to them for awhile. The /very/ beginning looked promising but then it went downhill for me. The pacing was awkward and choppy whilst the use of CGI was unnecessary (but at least it was used at a minimum). MC is reminiscent of Lucy from Elfen Lied, or any other silent-killer-"mysterious past" protagonist/anti-hero; considering I found Elfen Lied to be a huge waste of my time, the prospects of Blade and Soul making it to my Completed list right now is pretty slim-to-none. I'll probably stick around for another episode before making a final decision. I'd usually stay for more than that but one episode was already hard enough to sit through. 1/10. |
| Not gonna jump on the "Let's hate Gonzo series, because it's Gonzo" bandwagon. But still not overly impressed by the first episode. Have not played the game, but reading the comments makes me believe that the story will remain sub-par. None the less, the episode was fine, derp faces somewhere and the Main "heroine" seems quite OP at the beginning at least, hopefully some of the amazing looking female villains makes some kinda impact on the MC. 3/5. Opening was ok. Didn't have time to listen to the ED since I had to run to the bus for work. |

| Not sure why there is so much hate here, this is just the first episode. However, first impressions ARE important, so I give you that cookie. Personally, I liked it so far. Graphics seem good, we have an assassin's creed girl and atleast not another "trapped" into a MMORPG game like Log Horizon and Sword Art Online. I think we shouldn't compare it to an existing game but just watch the anime the way it is. Sad that she cut off her long hair, I liked the long hair more. Opening song seems a bit off for me. I recommend people to watch a few more episodes and then decide whether you are going to drop it or not. Most animes are not good at episode one and needs time to get into it. |

| character design is pretty good. they had alka bathing naked but did not do anything with it. so it seems that aside from the design it will not be eastern queen's blade considering the majority of important characters is female. from the PV and this episode the fights seem entertaining and animated pretty well even if the fights were pretty short in this episode. love the ost so far op is alright, like the ed oh wait i am doing it wrong. BOO GONZO BOOO seriously though i like it so far. could turn out meh or give us some of the most entertaining fight scenes this season |

| I got a little confused by checking information of the characters in MAL and in the official site. They introduce the names of the main characters. It is different between "Jin, Varel" in MAL and "Jin Varel" in official site. Which is her first name? If "Jin" was her first name, it is a same as Hazuki. It seems a little stupid setting that the two main characters' first name are same. If "Varel" was so, it implies that she and Hazuki are in a same blood relative. |

| Watched it for the tits and for now, will keep watching for the black-haired chick from Param (or whatever it's called). It's not like I expected anything brilliant out of it, but so far, the story and the characterisation is rather weak. And there was no point in killing that guy in this episode, could've kept him alive for a while longer, seeing as how it was as if he was someone very important. |

| What it is wrong with haters here The anime way better than what I expected. I was going to watch this because of the hot females only. However, it turned out to be better than that. It has serious story and blood like attack on titan, and at same time it has hot looking and badass MC. Great anime that that far exceed my expectation. Hopefully, they will keep the story serious and dramatic like this episode |
| Couldn't get into it. Pretty generic and nothing outstanding. Women are pretty sexy though, so maybe this'll at least provide some delicious fanservice. Only really good thing was the ending song, imo. |

| That was boring, and it was stupid imo. I felt nothing when those villagers died, nothing at all. I am also not fond of female characters taking the main role in action, one or two should be fine, but from the looks of it, seems like 99% of the fighters will be women. I have already forgot about the OST, and I don't even remember any of the characters' name. Dropped. |

| Just so the first Episode. ok sure it may not be every-bodies cup of tea but i do see potential in this series so i will give a try. i mean u cant judge a whole series from just one episode, i have seen series which start of far worst and up better in the end. Keep an open mind that is all i have to say |
| It was....okay. The animation and action scenes were alright, but I really dislike the MC. Her design is pretty bland, and the silent types are so easy to do wrong. I hope they really develop her character, because as it stands, she is impossible to sympathize with. And aside from the MC and possibly the village girl, it seems the main cast is comprised of just the tomunn inn girls. I'm fine with this, although I would've preferred there to be some sort of male presence even if it's in the form of an anime only character. Also to note, there is glaring lack of the aviator girl Q.Q I also dont like how they've written Jin seo yeon. In the games, she had this air of superiority and looked down on everyone. In this she seems almost...stoic? Like this conveys none of the arrogance that she did in the games. She doesnt strike fear into peoples hearts and instead seems almost lifeless. Guess that's running theme within this show's characters :/ I'm still gonna finish this show for the same reason I did blazblue. I just hope it gets better from here, as my initial impressions are already quite low. 2.5/5 |

You can also pretty much tell that this plot is heading nowhere. And this brutal "he pissed his pants"-humor made me gringe. Soooo fkin unoriginal and bad. | For an anime that randomly jumped outa nowhere when it was first announced, it's done pretty well at sticking with the MMO's actual themes. Once again people complaining about generic . . . how is this even generic? I don't understand what people see as generic everywhere. (ps: claiming it to be generic because it's not "new" enough for you, doesn't mean it is. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TropesAreTools ) Main character is silent and focused and has boundless resolve, i like it. The boobs? surprisingly not all that emphasized, aside from that one person with the bikini top outfit, but that's actually in the game. And lots of mook killing? Well duh, your character is a beast who only really faces challenge against sizable foes and mows down lots of mooks. I don't see amazing yet, but it's not bad. | Wait, so every show that appears now, people tend to expect epic characters, epic plot, epic animation? This was OK, it was nothing expectacular, nothing terrible, just OK, and we're talking about an anime that came from an action game, have you seen Blazblue anime to say this is terrible? Fanservice, it looks like now every women that is a killer or warrior has to wear a full plate armor or Claymore style to not be considered enjoyable, otherwise they're all terrible?! This had almost none fan-service at all, aside from the bath scene, judging from the characters design i was expecting a lot more, but it came out pretty good with almost none. I've said there was almsot none fan-service because i compared this to animes like Freezing, Estetica, HOTD and almost every show that we see a female fighting character, you think THIS is fanservice? boy you really don't know the extreme to be saying things like that huh? The characters so far are great, none stupid pathetic main male character that makes me want to punch a wall, none stupid female character that only cries and scream for help because she's useless The animation was pretty good aswell, just like i said, go watch Blazblue anime and then let's see if you'll have the guts to say this was bad. So let's be honest here i was expecting a show with a lot of fan-service from this but i got nothing, wich is great, the characters are all great and have potential, the plot i never expected anything good because we're talkin about an action game, do you really expect a good or epic plot from these things? Overall, i'll definitely be watching this from now on, maybe it can go downhill like people are saying or maybe it gets better, who knows, but for the first episode, this was OK. |

| I read the comments here first before watching the subbed version and all I can say is: Why so much hate? I mean yeah it's not groundbreaking or anything but for a video game adaption it's actually not bad (in fact this looked like a masterpiece compared to the horror that was BlazBlue). So yeah there were some cleavage and a bathing scene, so what? has the male population become so emasculated that some of us are offended by the slightest fan service? or maybe watching too much anime has actually made some of us become like wimpy harem lead who scream at the sight of boobies? so what if most of the characters are female? this is nowhere near as outrageous as Queen's Blade or Manyuu Hikenchou. Ranting aside, I like the design of the characters and their battle clothes. Reminds me of a certain concept artist whose name I can't remember. IIRC it was for the game Magna Carta. The scenery is also unexpectedly beautiful. I also like Alka's fighting style, no wasted movement. Just swift one-hit kill attack. I'll see where this goes, the story most likely will be generic but I'll give it a chance instead of hating from the 1st episode for petty reasons. |
