Synopsis

The rare and inexplicable Puberty Syndrome is thought of as a myth. It is a rare disease which only affects teenagers, and its symptoms are so supernatural that hardly anyone recognizes it as a legitimate occurrence. However, high school student Sakuta Azusagawa knows from personal experience that it is very much real, and happens to be quite prevalent in his school.

Mai Sakurajima is a third-year high school student who gained fame in her youth as a child actress, but recently halted her promising career for reasons unknown to the public. With an air of unapproachability, she is well known throughout the school, but none dare interact with her—that is until Sakuta sees her wandering the library in a bunny girl costume. Despite the getup, no one seems to notice her, and after confronting her, he realizes that she is another victim of Puberty Syndrome. As Sakuta tries to help Mai through her predicament, his actions bring him into contact with more girls afflicted with the elusive disease.

The story is amazing, each storyline is at the very least enjoyable, the only issue is the pacing. The whole series revolves around the puberty-syndrome and the mc helping to "cure" others and himself. Each storyline is about each character's symptoms, problem is that these come one after another, it's all linear and the series is in a loop of "conflict -> solution -> conflict -> solution" etc. It feels like one of those TV series where each episode is a unique storyline with little to no overlap with other episodes, like any general medical drama for example. Of course these storylines usually take 2-3 ...

Mixed Feelings
Show is just as I rated it. It’s fine. Never really struck as anything special or was outright annoying. The puberty trope is boring, and I cannot stand the main character. He reminds me of the main guy in Classroom of the Elite a little, in the sense that he’s a dick and mostly just gets on my nerves, even before the end. The show never truly gives enough of an emotional attachment to any of the characters or situations they face to be in any way moved by the show. It is truly and utterly fine. I will say though, the art style is ...

Overall this anime mainly talks about teenage girls who are facing puberty and a lonely hinedere boy, almost disliked by everyone, who magically solves all their problems because they can't seem to fix them themselves. It all started when the main character encounters that schoolgirl actress disguised who tells him about her problem and since then, a romance story had just begun.

The story itself is pretty shaky, but that's not without adding other major issues found in many anime such as unnecessary sexualized scenes and jokes, annoying harem tropes, incest teasing, unmemorable characters and many others. It just felt like the author has never spoken ...
