I give it: 10/10

I definitively enjoyed that anime but I think the last episode was a bit rushed, the serie could had 14 episodes

The scene when Sakuta is running from hospital from the start of the episode reminded me the Kizumonogatari with Araragi running desperate from Shinobu. Maybe it was a reference.

I found it odd how a good third of the episode ending up being narration from Kaede's perspective, but it was nice to get events more from her view. A bit odd how older Shoko appeared again in Sakuta's moment of need (interesting that both times she appeared have been in relation to Kaede's memory changes and their effect on Sakuta), which will help lead into the movie in due course. Then ending with some more scenes between Sakuta and Mai was excellently done, and once again proved that their relationship was one of the best aspects of this show.

Considering that this show wasn't even on my radar at the start of the season (I blame the title for that, though, as it did put me off), it really surprised me just how good it ended up being. Mai's arc was fantastic and Kaede's wasn't too far behind, then Koga's arc was pretty great even if I couldn't relate to her plight at all, Futaba's arc was reasonable enough but not as good as I hoped and Nodoka's was really poor, the only real black spot on the show.

Definitely AOTS for me and possibly AOTY, the only other real contender for that being Steins;Gate 0 (no 10/10 shows for me this year).

9/10

Solid show with the best part's of it clearly being Mai & Sakuta's interactions, as well as how Mai actually plays a part and remains a solid presence through-out all the girls' arcs. The standard cookie-cutter boy-solves-girls'-problems arcs usually just goes through each arcs, and all girls wait their turn into the last one is probably the chosen romantic partner as well, if one is chosen at all. If chosen at the start, they tend to be forgotten about till the very end too, so props to Seishun Bunta for being above that.

Last arc was underwhelming though. Needed more time to see the actual Kaede get used to everything & everyone she's missed the past 2 years, especially Mai-san. If you're gonna avoid that, at least give us an actual kiss as a minor compensation, but they were dicks there...

Pretty good show, even if it's not my cup of tea. But qualitatively speaking it was very good and never flat-out boring or annoying. Pretty sappy at parts, but also legitimately moving at others. Definitely among the better shows I've watched! Mai-san is best girl.

The last episode was a bit lame... and Sakuta's reaction was quite weird. I mean... shouldn't you happy? The fact that the old Kaede is back means her problem were resolved.

Fairly good show, I rate it a solid 8.

But the second half of this episode was... completely unsatisfying. What made Bunny girl sempai interesting in the first place is that it avoid or play with the usual romance tropes. But here, it played the "girlfriend find evidence of cheating" straight. I mean, come on BGS, you are better than that. In addition, the show dedicated very little spotlight on the new Kaede, Sakuta didn't even got a kiss at the end for his trouble, and we didn't got any explanation about Sakuta puberty syndrome. Ugggnnn, so unsatisfying.

The last episode didn't resolved Shouko plot point either, but that's fine as it should be the focus of the film.

Funny that when the show focused on all the girls' arcs, the complaint was "More Sakuta and Mai!"

More than half the last episode focuses on the couple and now it's "More Kaede!"

She's had two complete episodes to herself, folks---besides all her development as a secondary character.

Also protip: The show is and has always been about Sakuta and Mai's development individually and as a couple. They grew because of the crises they saw each other through, not in spite of them.

Sakata lost his Kaede-chan and Shouko appeared again to deal with the fall out including the scars on his chest reappearing
Glad he and Mai got together on her birthday to share some time Both of them made the effort to be there for each other. It may have bothered her he fell back on Shouki instead of depending on her but in the end their love for each other was strong enough to weather the storm

I am trying to get into the point of view, the perspective, of those that are comparing this anime, to the (by style, arcs plots, etc) same of a kind; but i can't. Some were wondering if those of us who voted for it with some between 8 to 10 out of 10 are delusional or even blind to the 'facts' that this show is 'obviously' just copying and condensing what made other shows that give a similar feeling just as good as they are.

You can not compare this.

This anime is a very grown one. You do not need to be an adult, but if you have a nice heap of life experience, a curious eye for what makes humans human and how we struggle in being such, you are able to take this as an ode to that struggle; without burning from the inside out this show pinpoints the twists that make life (what it is) in an almost effortless manner, straight to the kern of the things that show us how weak we are in our decisions, while being forgiven by those that take the burden not in the slightest lightly, but accept the challenges to come.

It is hard to explain; Guess, it is those things that drive you nuts half of your days on planet earth and when you're finally driven the whole hell through, you look at this and be thankful for making you remember what you have been through.

Nothing in this show is just a mashup of what worked in the not so distant past, but instead a damn neat razorsharp reflection on what you are dealing with if you say no to ignorance and arrogance and are willed to observe what happens around you and how much of it is a good part of you, either because you actively lived one of the roles in the situations presented or have been one that was tainted by it.

Yes, you may think it doesn't have any relevance for your individual experience of life as it is. You are allowed to do so; but if you bash it, think twice, because that unsettling feel that makes you want to bring it to ground zero, is nothing but a vague idea of what is hidden in there, mighty enough to lead you to be self-conscious and force you to reflect.

Do it or don't.

It's your choice.

That's life.

Simple as that.

It was a good ending to a great show. The first arc was spectacular, and the third was also great. The second and fifth arcs were also strong, the only one that felt off to me was Nodoka's. The "ending" feels unresolved, but I'm hoping that the movie gives us a more definitive conclusion or that we get a season 2 when there's enough source material. Still, definitely anime of the season imo.

Welp, that concludes season 1. I smell a possible ova because they still havent resolved the mystery of Shoko. I havent read the novel but it feels like there's not enough material for a second season. Unless they introduce new characters because they've pretty much resolved everything already.

Overall I really liked this anime. This and slime are the only ones I've been waiting to watch this season. I didnt really like the last arc though. Too much melodrama that I cant relate to, but I still like it overall. After watching gigguk, it made me realize the similarities between this anime and the monogatari series but both anime gave off different vibes and has different unique charms between them.

I really hope there's going to be an ova because I didnt feel a sense of closure in the last episode.

The movie that comes out next year adapts the sixth and seventh volumes of the light novel which is almost certainly Shoko's arc.

I loved this series, the only negative thing about it is people overhyping it. Too high of an score.
If this is 8.6, then Amagami SS should be close to that score.
Seishun buta yarou's score is even higher than Rakugo Shinjo's score of the first season. As much as I liked this anime, that's just bullshit.
There were mundane scenes, animation and art style weren't unique, OST wasn't that remarkable. It had a masterfully crafted story tho.
Everything great, but that MAL score makes like it less.

Anyway 9/10 for me. Not really a classic like some people say. It lacked impact and uniqueness besides the story.

Good finale. Not something very special, but it blended into the atmosphere we were used to in this anime. I liked emotional parts, and of course that long awaited kiss that took place in the last minutes of the finale. Kinda. ;PP I love those light jokes here. They make me smile, yet they are not idiotic.
And Kaede's problem seems to be finally over, woo hoo!

This anime was great to watch. Sure, it had better and worse arcs, but the pacing was done well, especially when we had only 13 episodes to be divided into several arcs about five different girls. What I liked the most, though, are three things: 1) it was soo entertaining to watch; 2) I liked the concept of the plot; 3) its animation and arstyle were really nice to watch.

I planned to give it 9/10, although I think it'd be too much after all. Since we do not have 8.5/10 score, then I think rating Bunny Girl Senpai as 8/10 anime (so without rounding up the number) will be fair. Too bad we didn't get more explaination of Puberty Syndrome, but I think we got a proper amount of information, especially when this anime was not that long. I enjoyed some of scientific explainations, but most of them happened to be cringy (at least for me) to be frank and if I were to point out the biggest flaw, I would say it was them scientific explainations about Puberty Syndrome.

Can't wait to see Bunny Girl Senpai movie. Maybe we will have there full Shoko arc?
From what I read, Light Novel goes ahead of the things that happend in its anime adaptation. It'd be cool to see season 2 one day. :)

This ending was terrible and left me extremely unfulfilled. The plot was terrible but all of the characters are 10/10.

Obviously I am a lazy person because I stole a random avvie off the net and did not bother to make a good signature.

Man I felt all those feels from Sakuta and Mai in this one.....RIP my adorable Kaede-chan TwT

Also, my boy Sakuta just can't get that one kiss can he lol, of course Mai would subvert everyone's expectations and not kiss this dude after all of that xD

But yeah, this is the clear AOTS and might even be my AOTY....Easy 10/10 (Guess we gotta wait for the movie for that potential kiss and then the conclusion of the Shouko storyline)

Am I the only one kinda disappointed for how rushed and unclear the ending was?
I mean, all 12 previous episodes were 10/10 but i feel that this last episode was rushed and left a lot of things unclear and unanswered. I get that 24 episodes would have been a streach but 14/15 was enough to clear things out :/

PS: Can anyone tell me if the manga or ln ends like this or if there is more to it? Thanks in advance

Awesome episode, unfortunately is the last one!

The first half was so much painfull to watch, was really sad being Sakuta like that, of course he had his reason and i understand him, i will miss as well that panda Kaeda!

The misterious Shouko had appeared, she conforted Sakuta and readed Kaeda's diary for him, and that moement was so sentimental for me, seeing flashbacks from Kaeda with Kaeda's voice, was wonderfull!

Another painfull scene was when Mai was almost going to cry after realizing that Shouko conforted Sakuta instead of her, i felt really bad! Both had bad reactions, but i am glad that things got resolved that fast, and the scene where Sakuta and Mai were together was wonderfull, besides not having a kiss scene!

Happy to see Kaeda reading her diary with memorys from panda Kaeda, and seeing Sakuta and Kaeda realtion keeping the same as before!

Overall, its was one of my favourite animes this season, definitely, i will miss every character of this show, of couse that Mai and Sakuta are the ones that i will miss more, without shadow of doubt, i loved how unpredictable their interactions was, but i will never forget Sakuta and Mai relationship! My favourite arc, besides liking every single one, is Mai's arc!

It didn't looks like an ending, for sure, maybe because of movie, but i will wait anxious for the movie, for more Sakuta and Mai moments!

Amazing ending for this arc. Sakuta breaking down was sad.

I thought that Kaede's other self would go back but I'm happy that the show followed the right path. Also, Mai & Sakuta's interactions were the best part of the episode.

I'll miss this show.

8/10 for the anime.

I was really digging this show until this last episode finished. How can you end it without a kiss? Really made me mad and dropped my rating of the show because of it. The show felt slow paced with a good amount of detail but then ended abruptly.

So much confusion and disappointment over the "abrupt/unclear ending" could be solved with some ridiculously basic research.

THERE IS A MOVIE COMING OUT IN 2019 THAT WILL CONTINUE THE EVENTS OF THE SERIES.

It's only plastered all over every anime site and discussion forum that mentions this show even in passing.

Well that's over

First and second arcs were great. Third arc was decent. Fourth arc was meh and final arc was decently meh

Good show

I must quote, as recognition of that you beat me to it. Yes, thinking back the show was great in the beginning. But I watched the final episodes on twice the speed.

I don't care about the incestuous Japanese obsession with little sisters, which comes from the desire to have girls neatly packaged and served, so that the dweeby guys can handle them. Same reason they have the "childhood friends so therefore we have cheat code straight to a relationship" theme. And let's not get started on the Japanese version of pornography, where women act like children so the Japanese men are able to handle them. I guess there's a reason "kawaii" appeared in Japan.

And look, the little sister was even SO cute that she loved pandas a lot. An infantilized girl, paradise for Japanese viewers. Though the show didn't preserve this state, of course. But it's there for too long.

I would have loved this show if there hadn't been a little sister. Just a guy interacting with girls his own age, acting their age, with various interesting supernatural problems. None of which should have been about infantilization. I'd have loved the show if it had preserved the greatness from the first half. A girl moving around in the library with no one seeing her, donning an outrageous costume to see if it will have an effect. Great story and great excuse for fan service. That's how you do it.

This is one of the most frustrating ending episode I have seen this year.
1. I don’t see any reason Sakuta will mentally break down, except the fact that he wants to “save” the new Kaede (but why? To save his arrogant self?) or he is an incest
2. Shouko just jumps out from nowhere and nobody cares. I mean, literally, no one except Mai gives a f to Shouko's sudden appearance in anime. Even Sakuta just use a sentence to cover her disappearance afterwards.
3. What the f is that diary’s monologue? A monologue that should show Kaede’s growth throughout the anime (I guess) becomes a summary of the anime in the level of primary school student’s works. Shouldn’t I be supposed to feel something when Kaede is confessing herself throughout that diary?
Compare Kaede’s arc to Tomoe’s or our beloved Mai’s arc, you can clearly see how shit the adaptation has become.
Please, A-1 Pic/CloverWorks, if you don’t have the time and effort to adapt several animes at one time, stop doing it.

I’ll still rate this anime 6 or 7 because of Mai

8.67!!! wtf.

This anime became dead to me after first 3 episode. I only enjoyed this episode after the 3rd one. I hated the corny ass MC.

In the end another choose your waifu anime that isn't even good at that because Mai knocks every other girl out of water.

I actually find the 5th arc was good and the rest were meh. The way MC talks in one single tone annoys me, which is weird cause 8man talks like that but i like 8man. 7/10

Yeah. It is possible that she is the same "demon" who controls all this. At least their last meeting clearly hints at her "paranormal" status.

Well, Kaede's arc ending was a bit clumsy and overly gloomy, but I liked the whole series. Initially, I thought it would be another mediocre adaptation of LN, especially considering the uneven animation of CloverWorks, but in the end the whole show turned out to be a real treasure.

9/10.

P. S I can't help but write again how funny the arrogant reaction of those who called the show "dubious otaku-pandering" just because of Mai in the rabbit girl costume on the poster looks like today.

I was expecting something better but I guess expecting something out of anime these days is not really worth it.
First half was really good, but the second half especially kaede's arc felt kinda meh tbh. Wished they could have told us about shouko more rather than just making her a "deus ex machina" girl especially for the last arc. I'm saddened.

Another thing would be saki's lack of screen time being a lackluster for futaba's arc. They could've just made her and futaba have a fight or something to add more spice to the drama. Now she just ended up being an unimportant annoying side character.

overall it's pretty average, it's absolutely not a bad anime but it lacks a punch for the end.
I'll still give an 8 I guess

fucking shitty garbage anime

unexplained magic everywhere

they stole from every anime they could

forced conversations

character breaking all the time

everyone is a smartass

if you rate this over 6 and the only reason why im allowing you to go up to 6 is because Mai is hot, the characters look good and they do try to sound somewhat realistic (if we exclude the fact that they don't acknowledge magic) then you have SEVERE issues and should probably be looked by a doctor

I could not understand why Sakuta broke down when his sister got back to normal self. Was it because he thought his sister would forget all he and his parents had to go through..or..?

Also why he believed that he could not do much for his sister?

Last episode got me so confused :/

Have to say, Cloverworks did a good job at adapting this work. Hope the will stay like dat...

Enjoyed the first 2 arcs but the rest was also not bad.

Looking forward to this movie.

I would say they outdid themselves considering 5 volumes were adapted yet I loved the pacing and everything felt really natural.

First 2 arcs where the best, 3rd was great, but I also enjoyed the last 2 arcs.
My only problem with this last one is, imouto loses her memories and doesnt recover them!
I think it is kinda retarded to think and make sense that if you lose your memories, and make new enoughs, once the old memories came back, you will lose all the memories you had made previously, retarded, I know it is supposed to tie with the whole puberty sindrome, but I didnt like it was such to create drama like that!

Hearing this old imouto's voice is far more weird, prefered the energetic brocon one, even if she was far from having a perfectly normal mindset.

Very much looking forward to the movie (also wanted more details about Shouko herself, but they left it open-ended).

8.9/10 = 9

Write a review. Literally people praise this anime as if it's godlike or something... it's annoying.

First dude feels like a troll... that said, I have to agree that people are overrating this one a bit, not as much as made in abyss, but still, I would put the score more into the 8.30-8.40, than something like 8.67 where it currently sits about.
Still great drama, but far from deserving that much praise.

i have my own reviews on my own profile which i mostly write for myself but there are people that wrote reviews that diss this anime and you should go and vote with helpful

the best way to tl;dr describe this anime > taken from one of the reviews that are atm on its front page (not written by me)
", it’s a bunch of random lines arranged one after another. Either the author is a moron and “lines arranged one after another” is his understanding of how logic works, or he thinks the audience are morons and he can scam them with this garbage if he talks fast and sounds confident"

anyway ill copy paste what i wrote on my own blog in case you dont wanna click on links on my profile but i really didn't feel like writing much cus im actually pissed and just wanted to drop an entry and pretend i never saw this shit

I could not understand why Sakuta broke down when his sister got back to normal self. Was it because he thought his sister would forget all he and his parents had to go through..or..?

Also why he believed that he could not do much for his sister?

Last episode got me so confused :/

3 reasons

1) because the writer is retarded and he writes conflicting plot-points every single episode, and you can see it all the time
2) because sakuta is selfish as fuck and he got emo that all the effort he put in the other kaede is now potentially gone so he wasted his time cus he isn't a nice person and didn't help her for her own good but for himself

or 3) because the writer is retarded

also he wanted to make a dramatic looking scene as if there are stakes or potential drama when in reality thats simply not the case but the reason why he "broke down "was to trick dumb viewers into thinking "OH MY GOD SO DRAMATIC OH MY GOD SO SAD"

it was just a poorly written shit anime

this anime might resonate with normies because it got huge popularity for no reason whatsoever and it was rated with 8+ in its first 2 eps when people had no clue what it was about, before any of the magic showed up or anything. I say normies because the only people that could like this anime are people who live their lives on auto pilot and don't stop for a second to think themselves cus then they would see how incredibly bad this production is and they would not like it any more but at the same time normies also need to fit in so they're going to be afraid of speaking their mind out and standing out ( despite the MC of this anime supposedly representing EXACTLY THAT, LMAO )

if you actually think about what you're watching you'll realize its hot garbage

i feel pretty angry that anime content creators on youtube felt the need to praise this anime a few weeks ago because its so popular and THEY MAKE MONEY BY HAVING PEOPLE WATCH THEIR VIDEOS so they would say anything just to get more views and considering all the obnoxious teens that started watching anime 2 years ago are acting like this anime is the 2nd coming of jesus and blew it out of proportion with its popularity > all the creators felt like they need to get that sweet money so they sold their integrity to make positive reviews on this garbage

lots of music -

click for mmo history, minus the drama -
