Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken

Thirty-seven-year-old Satoru Mikami is a typical corporate worker, who is perfectly content with his monotonous lifestyle in Tokyo, other than failing to nail down a girlfriend even once throughout his life. In the midst of a casual encounter with his colleague, he falls victim to a random assailant on the streets and is stabbed. However, while succumbing to his injuries, a peculiar voice echoes in his mind, and recites a bunch of commands which the dying man cannot make sense of.

When Satoru regains consciousness, he discovers that he has reincarnated as a goop of slime in an unfamiliar realm. In doing so, he acquires newfound skills—notably, the power to devour anything and mimic its appearance and abilities. He then stumbles upon the sealed Catastrophe-level monster "Storm Dragon" Veldora who had been sealed away for the past 300 years for devastating a town to ashes. Sympathetic to his predicament, Satoru befriends him, promising to assist in destroying the seal. In return, Veldora bestows upon him the name Rimuru Tempest to grant him divine protection.

Now, liberated from the mundanities of his past life, Rimuru embarks on a fresh journey with a distinct goal in mind. As he grows accustomed to his new physique, his gooey antics ripple throughout the world, gradually altering his fate.

talking about the best isekai anime, one thing I will say is it's hard, it's hard to determine whether Konosuba or Tensura, but if I have to talk a bit seriously maybe I will give this throne to Tensura (reincarnated as a slime) because this anime has a very interesting world building and story. a very satisfying story and doesn't get stuck in the mind. the story is light but still serious and delicious, I don't even get bored of watching it over and over again while eating.

I give 100 out of 10 for this anime, an anime that I always wait for the new ... season. Light Novels never disappoint.

Mixed Feelings

I'm not going to deny it, it's entertaining, but it's quite uncomfortable to watch and there are parts of the plot that lose sense the more time goes by.

As expected because of the genre and the whole setting, most of the female characters are over-sexualized regardless of the level of power or rank they possess, compared to the male characters.

I would not recommend it for this last point, I consider that there are better anime and manga that do not fall into this point and have similar plots with better construction. But if this doesn't bother you and you're looking for something that doesn't make ... you think too much, it's an anime you should consider watching.

Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken starts with a fascinating premise: a salaryman reincarnated as a slime in a fantasy world. This setup had the potential for an engaging and humorous narrative, but the series ultimately falls short due to a lackluster story, uninspired art, and bland battles.

Story:
The plot begins with promise as Rimuru Tempest explores his new life and builds a community of diverse creatures. However, as the series progresses, the narrative meanders and key plot points feel underdeveloped. The pacing is uneven, leading to moments that lack tension and urgency. While there are occasional engaging conflicts, they often feel predictable and recycled, which diminishes ... overall investment in the story.

Art and Animation:
Visually, the series is a letdown. Character designs are simplistic and lack the distinctiveness found in other anime. While the backgrounds are colorful, they often feel generic and uninspired. The animation quality is inconsistent, with some action scenes appearing lackluster and failing to capture the excitement of battles, resulting in a disappointing visual experience.

Battles:
Combat in Slime Datta Ken lacks excitement and depth. Rimuru’s overwhelming powers often make conflicts feel one-sided, reducing any sense of stakes. This turns what could be thrilling encounters into mundane spectacles that don’t resonate with viewers.

Conclusion:
Overall, while Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken has its charming moments and an intriguing premise, it fails to deliver on its potential. The uninspired story, mediocre visuals, and dull battles make it hard to recommend.
