Overpowered Main Character (Isekai & more). [#01]

Anime

First [#01] list in the series. Make sure to go through others.
------------------------------------------=====================

Q. What's the criteria for this list?

A. MC shouldn't be too annoying, or an ultimate cuck who overacts around women (I know, kinda hard to find these men in anime). Fun combat, interesting world and an OP MC, sounds fun.

Genres might vary, not everything has to be about fighting.
100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru
TV, 2020, 12 eps Me:- Author:8
Protagonist's skills grow on you.

Too bad there won't be a season 3. I guess they forgot to add more loli and furry content to make this one a hit.

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu

Assassination Classroom

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu
TV, 2015, 22 eps Me:- Author:7
Character art for every other character is pretty much garbage tier, especially the blue haired lead kid. Other than the art and the fact that the kids have the personality of a piece of turd, pretty entertaining anime.

Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou

Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest

Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou
TV, 2019, 13 eps Me:- Author:7
Over-the-top MC with a Loli love interest.. which is the only thing I don't like, and the cringe/annoying "MOMMY AND DADDY" nonsense a lot of anime do with some random kid character. Luckily, that kid is there for only a few episodes, though you're stuck with Loli till the end.

Either way, fun anime, if you ignore the garbage elements as mentioned above.

Benriya Saitou-san, Isekai ni Iku

Handyman Saitou in Another World

Benriya Saitou-san, Isekai ni Iku
TV, 2023, 12 eps Me:- Author:8
Pretty entertaining and filled with fun characters.

Honestly, I don't have any complaints with this one. It's not the "BEST EVAR" but it was entertaining enough that I finished it in one setting.
Bleach
TV, 2004, 366 eps Me:- Author:7
Make sure to avoid fillers like plague. Anime itself is fun.
Boku no Hero Academia
TV, 2016, 13 eps Me:- Author:6
Ever wondered how a cast of average generic heroes would look like?

Look no further. This anime has you covered.

Even the MC is a whiny shit who refuses to stop being a crybaby, because most anime writers don't know how to do character growth properly.

I think the worst part is that annoyingly loud screaming man-child "friend" who bullies and insults the MC constantly while the MC acts like a cuck towards him.

Actually, I'm not sure this anime belongs on this list, but I think it's here primarily for few characters which are (ironically) on villain side that are slightly well done than most of the hero cast (which is trash).

Fairy Tail (2014)

Fairy Tail Series 2

Fairy Tail (2014)

Terrible ending to the whole series, but it was entertaining enough till then.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
TV, 2009, 64 eps Me:- Author:9
I recommend watching the older version of anime first, then the newer. There are enough differences to keep the re-watch entertaining as well.

Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki

How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom

Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki
TV, 2021, 13 eps Me:- Author:5
How a realist hero introduced crop rotation in another generic Isekai harem anime. If you are done watching all good Isekai, you can watch this and pretend that you're watching a good isekai anime like rest of the people voting this anything higher than 5/10. :P
Goblin Slayer
TV, 2018, 12 eps Me:- Author:6
They blew their load on first season itself. Second season just proves, this anime really has nothing new to offer, as it proceeds to censor itself massively, leaving us with a generic boring protagonist who's pathetically weak and ineffective, only capable of fighting a generic boring enemy (Goblins). Kinda funny how the premise works against the show the author is trying too hard to portray as "cool" (seems to work on fanboys).

Anyway, watch first season and first movie at-least.

This show beats Bleach when it comes to fillers and pointlessly awfully animated intro sequences that never fucking end, along with equally long recaps to pad the playtime. They even have shitty filler movies which serve no purpose but to add characters to please primary western (read = American) audiences, characters which only show up for movies.

Entertaining show still, despite all the annoyances. Just avoid fillers like plague (Google "One Piece fillers").

Good characters, MC that isn't annoying, and episodes not focused entirely on harem nonsense and a world that seems to have actual development (down to their own language).

Personally, I think this is one of the few Isekai shows worth watching. Plus now, it has season 2 (still airing as of this writing).

Shinchou Yuusha: Kono Yuusha ga Ore Tueee Kuse ni Shinchou Sugiru
TV, 2019, 12 eps Me:- Author:6
A good premise but the show could've used 12 more episodes to flesh out the characters and the world. The last two episodes are a good example of what "rushing to end the series" feel like.

That said, entertaining, disappointing ending aside.
Sword Art Online
TV, 2012, 25 eps Me:- Author:7
Filler art Online. Good seasons mixed with filler and trash seasons (where MC becomes a girl, cause Japan can't have normal men in anime). Expect to wade through shit to get to good stuff, but overall a good series.

Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari

The Rising of the Shield Hero

Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari
TV, 2019, 25 eps Me:- Author:8
Exciting first season with an interesting premise. After that, the writer had a stroke and season 2 and season 3 were shat out. Maybe season 4 won't be utter pile of shit, but it hasn't aired as of this writing.

TV, 2023, 12 eps Me:- Author:6
Not a unique premise. Isekai shows have had a sudden interest in "healing magic" as a thing, because we all know that being original is a skill most anime writers can't acquire.

Art is dog-shit. Most of the female characters look similar and I got confused who is who. Even the male MC's face has a similar template as the female characters, making them all look like siblings.

The show also only gets slight interesting half-way through, a lot of time wasted on shitty "training" montages that are as interesting as staring at a wall.

Overall, it's entertaining enough, but don't expect anything original.

Not a fan of MC's character design, but it isn't as "pedo" as some other anime, so I'll excuse it. It helps that adults aren't sexualizing the kid as well.

As for show itself, it's filled with mech fights and they are mostly well done. Show is a fun watch.
