Since MAL's definition for slice of life was made on April 2022, a lot of anime lost their Slice of Life tag. This stack contains some of the anime that had the SoL tag before the change but lost the tag after the change. Sequels/spin-offs aren't included unless the original still has the SoL tag.

The reason there aren't 50 anime here is that the Wayback machine has very few captures of SoL anime more obscure than these. If you find more examples of anime that lost their SoL tags, please send them to me.

In these series, you can expect both character development and a lot of romance. The rom-coms are done well, and the comedy doesn't take too much from the romance. It may take a while for things to get serious in some of them, so you should be patient.
Isekai anime that uses the "alternate world" plot device well and doesn't waste it on self-insert wish-fulfillment power fantasies.
Some of them are very funny, despite being often overlooked.
Unique anime is like the one which has no similarities.
