Though these anime are different in many ways, they are also very similar:
- Both anime take place in a medieval setting in essentially a different world.
- While one MC gets reincarnated in another world and the other one just enters through a game, both MCs start out as a very innocent and naive character who quickly becomes powerful.
- Both MCs got their OP defenses by not wanted to feel pain and gain additional resistances and attacks through experiences with their enemies.

There are the same power evolution system, the main character will unlock new abilities until become cheat.
By their main character, support characters, story, power up almost everything are similar among this two animes. I strongly suggest to watch it.
- The MC gains new skills by devouring their enemies.
- Rather powerless MC becomes extremely strong.
- Both MC become leaders (Rimuru of a town and the creatures in it, Maple of a guid, although there is an obvious difference in their leadership skills)
- Also isekai! Though in the second one it's a virtual world
- Both MCs have either a lot of fans or a lot of followers
Both are animes where they start off with the MC's getting OP without really noticing it.
They have the same wave length in terms of comedy and overall feels ig?
Both feel chill but have good action at the same time and the story line doesnt feel left out either in both of these animes.
1. both MCs gain their powers by eating
2. both MCs are op
3. the MCs can almost not be hurt
and one character sounds like rimuru

If you loved Slime give this one a try for sure.
-It has the same "positive" atmosphere of conquering a new world.
-Maple is really likeable and over powered due to her not understanding how the game works and her insane luck (and defense).
-They even have similar abilities, Devour.
-I pick this one over Shield hero because shield hero is more of a "serious" Anime compared to Slime and Bofuri, but Shield Hero is a must watch also.
Just make sure you skip the intro it basically spoils everything that happens in the Anime and it's baffling...
Both are iskeai where the main character quickly farms xp and becomes overpowered.

Similar mechanics, an isekai/fantasy theme, fun characters with the main character gaining more overpowered abilities in similar ways. Bofuri had characters that were more enjoyable, but Slime has much more plot and world development.
Both MC (Maple and Rimuru):
Started very weak and slowly gain their power via eating.
Both have the ability to take little to no damage.
Both become so ridiculously overpowered that they are almost unbeatable.
