Also I'm surprised about Ajin, it sells so low, but it got second season announced really quickly.

Reminds me of Shounen Hollywood where it had below 1k per volume and still had a second season so my guess would be is that they already had a second season planned before hand or they want to up the sales of the manga more.
I loved this anime honestly and I'm happy that despite its terrible sales its getting a continuation.
it's mainly getting a second season because it was put on Netflix and gained tons of revenue from that.
Oh I see I forgot that Netflix had it so yeah that makes sense. xD They did say that they would help produce anime from what I read in a crunchyroll article so I'm guessing they are backing up the cost.

Source? It is one of the popular manga in Japan in the first place. A single volume of Ajin manga sales is equivalent of 30.000-50.000 disc sales.
here and here it's also probably because the manga is really popular in Japan, but I know that the anime gained most of it's earnings from netflix. it was available worldwide i believe.
Ok,thanks but I knew it is on Netflix,I wanted to know source of it is making good money through Netflix.I rather doubted streaming sites can provide good amount of moeny unless it is occasional mega hit like Naruto, SnK or Death Note.
Popular Manga and Re-edition of movie sounds more convincing to me.

Anime adaptation of popular manga often have multi seasons regardless disc sales for whatever reason.

that is becoming true, im on the minority that likes 2.5D animation to improve more
Well, personally I believe that one day it might become reality, and all anime will be CGI, but right now it looks just cheap and unappealing imo. Cutscenes in some games look better, and in anime visual aspect is a lot more important. I'm not surprised that anime fans don't want to support that.
ye i can understand that, im just a fan of animation in general and want to see the gradual improvements of 2.5D animation with a cheap budget like anime has

Well then, sucks for them I guess.
Hopefully it will teach them that nobody wants to watch shitty 2,5D animation :<
Ajin was good. I don't care that much about animation. Story/action/characters > Animation

Ye same here i really hate CGI i watched both of the 1st episode of this 2 anime and was just nope, jpn will still need some time befor they can make CGI watchable cuz atm with this low frame-rates it just looks bad but else yeh CGI is probably the future of the anime mainly bcz its cheaper to make and faster aswell thats why we are recently getting so many CGI either fully or with lots of parts ben in CGI but well thats why we also get maybe 10anime more then previous year at same season etc they simply want to make more and more....

The thing with Ajin is that the story is excellent (the manga even more so) but the animation is garbage compared to the stuff we're accustomed to. As a fan of the series, it tears you apart, lemme tell you.
I was looking forward to this anime mainly because of how gorgeous manga looked, so I'm even more depressed by how anime turned out to be :( I'll definitely buy manga in the future to check it out.

Grimgar only sells around steady of 3k.... kiss goodbye to second season. I blamed them for the weird montages input soundtrack.

I think they already plan it together shen season 1 was still on going .. worst scenario Ajin Season 2 will be the last ..
