Because they have no clue on these sorts of things. One Punch Man was nowhere near flop status, but of course the sheep mentality is very strong in the Western fanbase. They probably just lapped up that One Punch Man apparently flopped from some other Western forum...
Mod Edit: Modified quote of edited post.
They most likely did it because of the annoying fanbase that compares the mc of OPM to any other mc in every comment section of an anime ever, i mean holy shit, the fanbase is more annoying than SAO and AOT and i liked both of those animes.
The old story of "some ppl making those comparsions..so its a bad and annoying fanbase". When we go with this, you can almost hate every fanbase of anime x and the haterbase of anime x, and the haterbase of the haterbase of anime x, .... , ... At the end we all suck.

Interesting. Somehow Kuma Miko got really high in this list. Well it does somehow funny, but I don't think the comedy beats Sakamoto's level, so I don't know why Sakamoto didn't sell well. Loli ftw?
Re:Zero being low is not surprising. As people know, a lot of LN readers actually dropped the novels, so it's not surprising to see the anime is not that popular.
As for Hundred, I think Japan now know that mecha-school-battle-magic-harem-cliche anime don't work really well when you're releasing it every season.

If we compared the production value and its BD/DVD sales.. yeah its a flop
ever since the anime was announced NTV make it looks like a big deal and yet even Overlord outsell OPM heck maybe even charlotte
You may want to read this here:
One-Punch Man is one of the most impressive TV anime productions this year, one that casual fans and experts, viewers and industry members are equally amazed by. These fans are so impressed by its visuals that the character designer and chief animation director Chikashi Kubota had to put out a tweet to clear up some misconceptions, saying that even if people were getting the impression that the show is being supported by a large animation budget, the truth is that they are working with average figures. He went on to explain that what we are seeing is the product of passionate artists doing their best. Finding out exactly who is behind all this spectacular craft seems like a good idea, then.

so no, your comment is false and incorrect.

People consider OPM a flop because of the immense hype and popularity when it aired and now look at the BD sales, shameful.
Over lord sold like Crazy I'm shocked there is no second season yet and the novel are still strong.
madhouse
sucks!
i want my ngnl second season
It's called PATIENCE!
Mahouka is getting a movie and more seasons if it sells well.
Ngnl and overlord will come later this year or 2017.

Most of the profit is from the advertising that they play before and after each episode.
Anime licensor pay in advance and then they share the profit once they earn more that what they have already paid. This means that if an anime get licensed in another country it has already made a profit.

I knew Iron Fortress would be a hit..but at 10k already? nice
Also glad to see that Haifuri is also doing well...maritime series may not be popular in the west but it always has a good reception from the Japanese fandom. they have a lot of pride for there navy being an island nation and all and i can relate. (from an island nation as well me).
I just hope that Re:Zero gets a bit more of a boost later..if the darker aspects are done right....if not than since white fox is doing it..i just hope they can give it a good closure. (just dont repeat what you did with akame ga kill pls) This being a two cour show..already got me more than most of the genre would hope for but more would be nice :D.
not surprised by Terraformers....Just what the hell where those guys thinking? they made it worse than s1..where they high or something when they agreed to this?
Big Order i am a little disappointed but at the same time not surprising...it has to many flaws in it..which what makes it so fun to watch...it is like watching a b-class movie...a b-class anime..one that are so bad that they are good XD...HAHA

Onepunch Man is getting dubbed in almost every country of the world, the anime will earn way more than just the dvd sales in Japan.
It's only been dubbed in Spanish and Italian though.
And English soon, that covers 90% of the people who can buy it.

Wow Overlord sold better. Maybe madhouse will give up on manga adaptions and go full light novels since that seems to be their hitters.
Yeh Overlord sales were steady as fck each volume was around 11k while OPM sales with each volume like 1k remember 1st voume of OPM sold 12k and now its already down to 6.5k wouldnt surprise if the last volume doesnt even reach 6k by this pace but overall lots of other animes would kill for such sells so its still doing good. So ye cant wait for 2nd season of Overlord hope then the production commitee and madhouse got some brains this time and dont forget about this show since they got enough material to use aswell...
Anyway about thoose stalker info i think it was proven last season that they can be quite wrong and only here and there some animes really kept good nrs all depends on the future episodes that will come. Surprised that Jojo still would sell like that has really the most ugly animation i have seen i even rather watch a 2000 anime then that jojo shizzle...
Anyway its still too early to talk about spring sales some will drop other will raise thats for sure but i do believe that macross will take the top spot unless kabaneri pulls off smth crazy to get big interest :P

How could people fall for that bait...
But is it a flop or not?
I'm confused
