The official website for Hunter x Hunter manga has announced that the manga will resume on the 43rd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump magazine releasing on September 22. The manga went on hiatus recently on April 2, with Togashi promising for a quick resume. The 36th volume of the manga will also release on October 4. The manga by Yoshihiro Togash began on March 1998 and has been going under many hiatus. The manga also received two different anime versions: one by Nippon Animation in 1999 and another by Madhouse in 2011. Source: Comic Natalie |

Cool, 10 chapters and then it's back on hiatus before the end of the year. |
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime. Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait. MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol. |

Ulquiorra said: yes. it's very dialogue heavy so they could easily do a 1-cour show but the question is more "are the chapters before the current arc enough for a 1-cour show?" (i doubt there will be a new season before at least the current arc is finished)A quick question for the manga readers, does it have enough chapters for a new anime? At least a 12 episodes one? Edit: just looked at the chapter count. if we include the next 10 chapters there is easily enough for a 2-cour (maybe even 3-cour) season. it'll probably take a long time until the current arc is finished and the arc before (ep.149+) should be enough for about 5 or 6 episodes. |

HxH is hugely popular and the author is notorious for going on hiatus. The news is that he is no longer on hiatus. How does that not make sense to you? For example, it will also be news if and when he inevitably goes on hiatus again, regardless of whether or not that has happened before. It's the fact that the state of hiatus has just changed once again that is newsworthy. Common knowledge of his habits isn't news, you're correct about that, but keeping track of the current state of hiatus is what is what we would call "news." I'm getting a bit redundant with my explanation, but I don't really want to have to explain this again. Not that I think you'll accept a word of what I'm saying... |
