| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Man, those twins' mother is awesome. They're so lucky to have someone like her in their lives. She seems to also be interested in Haruka and Kanata's growth as a pair. The episode was interesting. Regarding Kanata, it feels like some of the scenes this episode was symbolic of her character chasing her dreams. |

| Marissa is a nice mom, I liked seeing our girls be impressed by her skills and the advices they got from her. That ending was pretty touching, Kanata has changed since Haruka is there with her, I'm happy to see her smiling as she does now! |

Kanata development si going nice, she is again following whats eh likes! So the promice is still alive! They should keep his realationship as friends! Marissa drift looks awesome! |

| Marissa, the twins' mom, was hot and really likable as a character. Amazing stuff there. Overall, a good episode. I liked it throughout and the ending was nice too with the promise. |

| damn shame the insert song wasn't one of the main themes i'm always jamming whenever it comes on not that the ones now aren't good it just sucks that it's tied to the OST so you gotta wait ages for it lol Narumi really is passive all the way to the end thought she was finally gonna say something never get tired of the tough "american" mom troupe her English one liners were solid |

| So being partners in Beach Volley is like being married... yeah, I actually like that comparison. I really liked how nice Marissa was towards Kanata, I can notice how much she cares about her. She's a good mom and a great coach for what I've seen. Not gonna lie, I also second the statement of training with her. At the end, I felt that the whole "let's run to the airport" thing was kind of overexaggerated but it was nice to see how this Kanata/Narumi arc ended. Although I was expecting something more from Narumi... but well, I guess it's really hard for her to show deeper emotions. |

| Aww...seeing Marissa hug Kanata like that. It looks like Marissa knows what happened to her mother. Maybe they were partners? Well Marissa is already looking great as a mother figure not just in body but in heart too. It's only been a minute and she's already grown on me. Me? Cute... Red, white, and blue bikinis! Lol. Screw the closing ceremony! Must play volleyball! Damn, Claire rocking that camo coat, black top, and jean shorts. I rarely see any anime that has a character wear camo clothing as casual wear. Emily looks great too with that long brown skirt. Simple visual cues to tell you just what kind of a driver Marissa is. Hehehe. I love those small details. That's how you set up the comedy. I DON'T CARE ANYMORE! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! And what a beautiful way to end the episode. Narumi was probably crying, but she didn't want Kanata to see her tears. So she gave Kanata the hand gesture that Kanata taught her to keep the promise. Great episode. Great music too. |

It was just a cheesy line that emphasises how bland this show is. They are failing even in the eye candy department as well... It's reminding me why I usually don't watch sports anime. |

And yes, some metaphors or symbolisms I've heard/seen from other sports animes to represent partnership are quite accurate. Haikyuu!! and Ballroom e Youkoso being some examples I remember at the moment. And since we're exchanging examples... there's this episode from Ballroom e Youkoso where the MC and his partner need to "shine" to get the attention from the judges (the sport being ballroom dancing) and the episode shows this metaphor of them being like a painting of a flower and its frame. Based on this, the MC, being a beginner in the sport, decides to dance for her partner, who has more experience in said sport, and to show all of her beauty to the judges while dancing (the flower being so important that you can't even pay attention to its frame). Of course, the MC taking an incredibly huge secondary position from the judges's appreciation. I kinda got carried away with that example xD It's just that it was such a nice metaphor. |

Well, in my case, I still consider Harukana more as an ecchi in the first place, rather than an spokon. It'll probably fail in being "the best sport anime" but it doesn't reject the fact that it's enjoyable, for me at least. And regarding the comparison... it's cheesy as hell but I liked the way Marissa explained it. Not going to repeat what she said, you can re-watch the ep for that. But what she said about being there for each other and to go through adversities is basically one of the principles about couples. And seeing her saying that while looking at her ring was sweet, if you ask me. And since Haruka and Kanata seem to know each other quite well, the comparison is accurate (yuri innuendos included in it or not). |

Okinawa is South of Japan so they have nice weather all year around even during the winter you can still walk around in a simple shirt. As for the summer part Haruka mentioned i guess it's a time skip which they did several times before. That being said tho having the same weather al yearl around can be a bit confusing with the way time is going on in this anime. |
