 This year's April issue of Kodansha's good! Afternoon magazine, which goes on sale on March 7, is annoucing a television anime adaptation for Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka's Grand Blue (Grand Blue Dreaming) manga. The Avex Pictures booth at AnimeJapan 2018 will feature the series.Inoue and Yoshioka began serializing the seinen comedy manga in good! Afternoon in April 2014. Kodansha published the ninth volume on October 6 last year, with the tenth volume scheduled to be released on March 7. Kodansha Comics USA began publishing the manga digitally in English in September 2017. The fifth volume was released on January 9. Grand Blue was nominated at the 41st Kodansha Manga Awards in the General category. Synopsis Among the seaside town of Izu's ocean waves and rays of shining sun, Iori Kitahara is just beginning his freshman year at Izu University. As he moves into his uncle's scuba diving shop, Grand Blue, he eagerly anticipates his dream college life, filled with beautiful girls and good friends. But things don't exactly go according to plan. Upon entering the shop, he encounters a group of rowdy, naked upperclassmen, who immediately coerce him into participating in their alcoholic activities. Though unwilling at first, Iori quickly gives in and becomes the heart and soul of the party. Unfortunately, this earns him the scorn of his cousin, Chisa Kotegawa, who walks in at precisely the wrong time. Undeterred, Iori still vows to realize his ideal college life, but will things go according to plan this time, or will his situation take yet another dive? | Grand Blue getting an anime adaptation was inevitable as it is one of the most popular comedy manga of recent times. Honestly,i am so happy that one of my favourite manga series is getting animated. Now, i just hope that it will be a 2 cour adaptation. This series is way better than Prison school and deserves way more praise and popularity than the latter. |

| Good for the fans. But the news was already available since early Jan. Read the first few chapters of the manga but it didn't really catch me after I was recommended by multiple users. I will see how it goes when the anime becomes available. |

| BTW Anime Japan 2018 is on the 22th of March to the 25th. We will get in-depth info about the staff and studio and more importantly the cast. Or they can start dropping the cast list and director on the 7th of March. |
