 An official site opened and revealed that manga Tokyo Ghoul:re will be receiving an anime adaptation for 2018. It has also been announced that Haise Sasaki will be voiced by Natsuki Hanae, who also voiced Ken Kaneki from the prequel series. An announcement preview was also posted, and more information will be revealed at a later date. Synopsis: Two years have passed since the CCG's raid on Anteiku. Although the atmosphere in Tokyo has changed drastically due to the increased influence of the CCG, ghouls continue to pose a problem as they have begun taking caution, especially the terrorist organization Aogiri Tree, who acknowledge the CCG's growing threat to their existence. The creation of a special team, known as the Quinx Squad, may provide the CCG with the push they need to exterminate Tokyo's unwanted residents. As humans who have undergone surgery in order to make use of the special abilities of ghouls, they participate in operations to eradicate the dangerous creatures. The leader of this group, Haise Sasaki, is a half-ghoul, half-human who has been trained by famed special class investigator, Kishou Arima. However, there's more to this young man than meets the eye, as unknown memories claw at his mind, slowly reminding him of the person he used to be. It is the sequel of Tokyo Ghoul that was published between September 2011 to 2014 for a total of 14 volumes. VIZ Media released the original series in English and also plans to release the sequel beginning October 17. The series was first adapted by Studio Pierrot into a TV anime in Summer 2014 and later received a sequel in Winter 2015. In addition, the franchise received two OVA episodes titled Tokyo Ghoul: "Jack" and Tokyo Ghoul: "Pinto" in 2015. | Oh god.......well I guess this was inevitably going to happen sooner or later. If Pierrot is doing it again, hopefully this time they stick to the damn manga instead of switching the order of events, or rushing/completely omitting shit. The two seasons that we got a few years back were a complete joke, and were utterly terrible, especially Root A. In fact, it'll be interesting to see how they handle this. If I remember correctly, Shit A Root A didn't really follow the manga, so I wonder if they'll do what was done with Blue Exorcist and ignore certain things that occurred. We'll see......for now, I should probably get back on the manga, I'm waaaaaay behind. |

| Man this is such a doubled edge sword for me. I'm major hyped for this but I need another studio than Pierrot to adapt it. While I enjoyed the original TG anime's, Pierrot really did a bad job, especially with the 2nd season. I can just only hope some other studio picks it up because if it is Pierrot who is adapting it, I know not to expect something amazing. |

| I really liked season 1 and it actually introduced me to the manga, season 2 was straight up an incohesive mess, was really really that bad, the best thing about it was the music, I know they'll fuck :re up because Root A was actually not canon, I wounder how are they gonna make this work ? Well, as long as we get to see Kaneki again, I have nothing to complain about, we don't have this luxury. I'll keep my expectations as low as possible. |

| While it's not confirmed, I (and I can assume many others) certainly hope that Pierrot does not return to animate this. For better or worse, have people who made Root A make this. While I'm not particularly hyped for this because of the previous seasons, I will definitely keep my wits about this. |

| Hell no Fuck this. How are they supposed to going make this even watchable after rushed first season and toxic anime original root a. They skip a important arc from part one of Tokyo ghoul manga and ruin the whole story by destroying every character and their backstory except touka. I just don't see the point in this anime, tokyo ghoul:re is the second most best selling seinen manga in last three years. This not going boost any sells Even. I can't imagine censorship in this one. Have some mercy you Clowns. |
