 An official website has opened for an anime adaptation of visual novel Grisaia: Phantom Trigger on Saturday. Akio Watanabe (Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai) will serve as the character designer and chief animation director, while Ryuichiro Yamakawa (Grisaia no Kajitsu) will produce the anime.Grisaia: Phantom Trigger takes place after the existing Grisaia trilogy, and features a completely new group of heroines as well as a new protagonist. The story follows a class of students at Mihama Academy, which has been converted by anti-terror organization CIRS into a "specialist training school" for a new generation of operatives. Hmm, well I didn't liked the first anime, the OVA and Rakuen were good though. Will see though. It's spin-off with new characters set after the events of the first trilogy. | If 8bit has it, and it follows previous patterns, this should be a godly anime. Grisaia no Kajitsu = Masterpiece VN, garbage adaptation Grisaia no Meikyuu = garbage VN, masterpiece adaptation Grisaia no Rakuen = meh VN, pretty good adaptation Phantom Trigger should mirror Meikyuu. |

| While I enjoyed the original Grisaia, I'm a bit wary about this simply cos its an entirely new cast, and that original group is part of what made the VN (and the show, to a lesser extent) so great, so it'll be weird to have Grisaia without them. I'd probably have to wait until it starts airing and see what kind of reception it receives before I decide. |
