 The official Twitter account for the No Game No Life series announced that a movie adaptation of the light novel was revealed during the MF Bunko J Summer School Festival 2016 event held today. The movie will adapt sixth volume of the light novel. No Game No Life is written and illustrated by Yuu Kamiya and began publication under the Bunko J label in April 2012. There are currently eight volumes released, with the ninth volume to be released on July 25. The light novel sold a total of 304,721 units in the first half of 2016, and previously received a 12-episode TV anime adaptation by studio Madhouse in Spring 2014. In addition to the anime, the series also received a manga adaptation in 2013, drawn by Mashiro Hiiragi. Yen Press and Sentai Filmworks licensed the light novel and anime, respectively, for North American release, with the second light novel volume to be released on July 21. | I could think of Four possible scenarios for this: 1-Original Route 2-Rushed vol 4 and 5 3-Adaptation of Vol 6 (Prequal in a sense) 4-Recap out of all these i would like scenario 3 the most followed by 1 than 4 and least 2. But at last ..something i really loved is getting more content i can cry tears of joy :D |

EDIT: Yap volume 6 !!. It's not gona be like the NGNL you have seen in the anime, you won't be looking at pretty colors anymore. Volume 6 is so dark combared to the rest. |

There are exceptions like Kyoani but generally speaking, most studios are just contracted to animate something, not the other way round unless they shell out their own cash. |

A bit sad so many good series "only" get a movie but it's better than nothing, at least knowing that they're still willing to animate NGNL stuff is more than enough. Gonna start saving money so I can buy every merchandise possible and do my part in pushing for a new TV anime. :P |

Hey, thanks for mentioning me there. o/ There is a lot of topics about it everywhere so it's hard to follow them all. xD Considering they used an image of the two other main characters of the 6th volume, I've great hopes of being its adaptation. Also, I had already told you that I d love to have a movie adaptation in case it d be animated. <3 Vol 4-5 will be important for the plot of vol 7-8 (Old Deus arc supposed to start at the end of the anime) but not for the 6th one. If it's the real deal, it offers the possibility to have a future season 2 adaptating volumes 4-5 + 7-8 and took over the "wrongly done ending" of the 1st anime. |
