| Am I watching this right because episode 1 is about Mikuru? There's a fucking preferred chronological order of episodes and I couldn't help myself but to get a motherfucking headache. Anyway, pretty fun episode yet this will be the last KyoAni series that I'm going to watch. |

| I'm still not sure which order the threads are in now..maybe the first post should include the title of the episode, but i'll assume it's the original broadcast order for now.. Now that i've cleared that up for myself, i can understand why people say this episode (so episode 00) might be a bit off-putting, it was defintively weird (not that "The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi Part 1" would not be weird, after just having watched it to clear things up on how to watch this..). And the forced ratio fooled me at first, too. But still, it had some good laugh, that explaining of the filming was genious. |

| I'm watching in the broadcast order so I'm not even going to bother with trying to figure out what the other people in this thread are referring to. 15/10 most hilarious thing I ever watched Kyon's narration over the cheesy ass film had me cracking up so much. |

| I am mindfucked, but by MAL users. I think I am watching this show in the "broadcast" order. Nice, I like some narration ideas and Haruhi seems fine I guess. The fastest episode I've seen of an anime, I think, both in perception and substance. |
| Tried to figure out the best order to watch this series and I think I'm going to go with the chronological order...or the broadcast order...chronological...broa- Screw it, I'm just watching it from top to bottom form the order I have it. As for the episode, nothing out of the ordinary happened, but I'm sure it will pick up the pace. |

| That's one hell of a way to start a series, lol. This Haruhi character sure is something else. Kyon's swag level is over a million. I love his sarcastic attitude, and it's something I can definitely relate to. |

| This is my first time watching this anime and I've got to say, the first episode looks promising but kind of generic. From what I've heard, this changes later in the series so I'll keep watching to see what happens. |

| It took few minutes for my brain to figure it out that this was a short amateur film filmed by high school students. What a way to start a show, props to them. Edit: Watching in broadcast order. I see not many people do that here. |

| I knew what this was going to be before watching, but honestly, I can't imagine the puzzlement of spectators watching this on TV when it first aired. Also, thinking of all the efforts and details that were put in this episode to make it look like it didn't take any effort at all, made it even more funny. |
| Well, good to see Haruhi again! Since this was just released on Crunchyroll, I decided to re-watch it. I watched it years ago (one of my first intros to anime) and I wanted to watch it with older eyes, hopefully from a different perspective. I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode, it was just as I remembered it. I also forgot how pervy Haruhi was, it's amazing what one may overlook when they're younger (I don't know how, it was blatantly obvious, but whatever.) Haruhi is what first got me interested in what I'm currently majoring in at university, and what I share a deep love-hate relationship with: philosophy (Thanks, Haruhi ;p) Also, Haruhi says that important things (like asking someone out) should not be done over the phone, but face to face. I have followed this religiously since I first watched Haruhi. It's funny to look back and rediscover where I got certain practices from, I guess. I'm looking forward to watch the rest of this series, so join me, and I'll take you to a place where wishes come true. What? Wrong anime? Dang it. |

| This was the funniest episode of an anime I have ever watched, simply brilliant! It had a very Terry Pratchett kind of vibe to it. Loved it, loved it, loved it. |

| Deciding to finally watch this in the middle of the night with a headache was a good idea and I totally won't regret it in the morning. Haven't seen this before but I have watched Haruhi-chan a billion times so I have a unique perspective. It was odd already seeing the club only just getting started. Anyway a decent start until Mikuru showed up, I fucking hated that speech about moe, Haruhi sounded like one of those executives currently ruining the industry. You know gotta get all that otaku money. |
