well.. I never think about it.
It's somehow hard for me to associate with my name. When I look at my name, I feel some distance from it.

If you mean the way it sounds.. it's alright. My name is quite rare actually.

Not particularly as it feels a bit archaic. I usually just go by a nickname.

Ever been to Naypyitaw?

Well, yes of course. It's the capital of our country after all. But it's boring, I tell you. It's just a small rural city, altho I guess it's developing at a fast pace. The old capital Yangon is still the largest city.

yes, I love my Name "Luna" it's a mix of whimsical and not-that-odd sounding
also, it's easy to spell and pronounce.

My name is a really uncommon one and is only 1 character different than 3 more common names. So as you can imagine no one says my name right.

I'm thinking of changing it to Auron because its spelling is really similar and is somewhat Anglicised.

Yeah, I do love it, actually. I'd say it is quite rare, where I live, though I'm pretty sure I'd appreciate it even more, if people could pronounce it correctly. :p

It's quite rare here where I live but it fails to meet the same criteria in western countries. So yeah I do like it because its not the copy-paste of the same Slavic names that people use here.

I've never liked my first name so after my teenage years i started just using my middle name as a nickname although that's left me with this weird gap where family knows me as my first name and friends and partners know me by my middle and both is weird to the other.

I use to hate it, because i felt like my name was so strange...
people had a hard time pronouncing it, everyone made racist remarks about it that ranged from the N word to Asian slurs because they thought my name was some foreign name from like Asian or Africa or something, which it's not. Tho liking Anime didn't help the Asian ones. I have tanned skin, and I'm Native/Aboriginal, so I am neither Asian nor African and my name doesn't even come from there as far as i know, so I was confused when I was younger why they would use those named at me when I wasn't even those races. I don't know man.

Anyways it wasn't until Legend of Korra came out that I actually found a character with my name and i felt connected to. As I grew up into my 20's as well I slowly knew that my hatred for my name came from others making fun of me and that I actually didn't dislike my name at all, so I was like who the fuck cares what those little brats use to think. and that is all. XD;

My first name is a name that's mostly limited to the geographical area where I live, yet I've never met anyone with the same name and people I meet usually haven't heard of it before either.

I like that it's unique. But I guess a downside is that people sometimes mishear it or misspell it.

Mhm. It was specifically chosen by my dad to be distinctly Irish and it's kind of my token reminder of half of my ethnic makeup. It kinda creates social annoyances sometimes, but it's a name I'm very proud of and I wouldn't change it for anything.

I like my name, though it's not a super common name, but it's nothing unheard of in my language or country, either.

I used to hate my last name because it is easy to make fun of, but I've grown to like it.

I've been told that my full name makes for a good lawyer name.

I hate my name, it feels disgusting to say plus it’s really common. I think it’s good to have a somewhat common name so it doesn’t affect your life, although when there are 5 people in one of your elective classes with the same name it gets a bit boring. It doesn’t help that throughout middle school I hung out with a group of kids with one guy who shared my name being the main power of that group, paired with low self esteem I’d get all excited when I heard someone say my name only to be disappointed to find that they got annoyed when I responded. I know I’m acting like a whiny bitch about having a generic name, it’s just that middle school me has resurfaced with some vengeance.

tl;dr I’m still peeved about events that happened in middle school

I think it's a bit of an odd name to want to call someone? but I guess it's okay.
Don't like having 2 middle names though, because I could never enter my name on high scores, as it's usually only 3 entries.

I think it was my Dad that gave me my first name, but I know my middle sibling chose my second middle name.

My name basically means Hades's boat rower of death of the river Styx it's a little morbid but I love mythology.

Bonus Pluto's moon too so not even mad.

It's not as cringey as my brother's name which is basically Christopher or should I say 'Christ Bearer' I think I got off better than he did in the name game.

My first name is rather cool, but my surname is meh.

Back in Russia I did not like how they all like to shorten my first name. In Australia they do not shorten it like that and that is much better. I guess I can thank Tsukasa for always using my full first name and getting most others to do so as well.

When I do not want to give my real legal name, I often call myself James.

Thankfully my Slavic surname has an additional Chinese surname, making it slightly weirder, but I personally like it and people understood it quite well since it's rare to have a surname with two very different cultures altogether.

Anyways, my mother's side of the family came from either Quebec or a heavily French-speaking part of Ontario, it's obvious that my non-Chinese name sounds very French. I have no problem with it. A very girly name for a not-so-girly woman. At least it's better than having a banal Anglo woman's name. So, thanks, Mum.

And I like how my Chinese name is gender-neutral and a single syllable. Makes it less of a hassle for me personally.

Edit: The good thing about my French name is that it nicely renders in Polish and Russian. I like it.

Hey, I know this feeling. Got a name only old people have nowadays in my country and I really don‘t like introducing myself. Hated it the older I got and in fact yeah, my parents weren‘t really friendly to me when I was a child. I don‘t know if there‘d be a name I‘d be more content with. It‘s such a weird matter cause names are just so significant for identification.
