I finally played this one and enjoyed it quite a bit, more than I expected to :) it also had a pretty cool "chain reaction" and made me burst into tears of joy because I just randomly remembered how many great treasured experiences I had with visual novels before, BL or otherwise, and I guess it somehow made all those deeply intimate moments resurface :) for whatever reason. So, I just wanted to thank you for mentioning it back in the day :3 it's always nice to encounter something that manages to touch you on a deeper level, and if you never mentioned it, then who knows if I'd have ever had the pleasure of experiencing what I did!

Oh, congratulations :p never been abroad myself, so it does sound pretty exciting :) well, I wish you a great first experience then, wherever it'll be! And for life to become gradually easier afterwards :)
Everything has been going as well as it can be, considering the unfortunate circumstances, and yes, the last chapter of Given was released a few months ago :) quite unexpectedly for many people, it seems. I guess I was lucky that I'd only started reading it this year :p just in time for the finale. I hope you'll like it all the way through as well.

I think it would only contradict if your reality doesn't reflect your mindset. If you're rolling in money, successful, and have nothing to worry about, then obviously its going to be hard to adopt that mindset. On the other hand, if you're relentlessly just trying to do your best and it barely (usually) goes according to plans, then I believe its a pretty easy mindset to have. As much as I despise positivity I'd give in to the fact that it does work; albeit the more intelligence/education you have, its very hard to be completely positive about everything. Every waking day, I just recall the fact that I, as an adolescent, wanted to understand everything around me. Now, as an adult, I try to escape everything that I finally understood.
