| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I got strong Yugioh vibes from this episode. That duel disk things and card battle gimmicks. Yup. The monster cards even have "attack" powers and special abilities. Hell, I think they even had magic and trap cards LOL. Yup, the ideas definitely seems to be inspired by Yugioh for this episode. I'm a fan of Yugioh so the episode was rather amusing to me even though I couldn't take the monster cards seriously at all. Funny strategies. |

| Last year's election would have been so much better if this was actually how they determined who becomes the president lol. So many Yu Gi Oh references, really takes me back to those nostalgic days. Some of the ridiculousness that Mayo pointed out was spot on. |

| As someone who likes YGO, this episode was amazing. I nearly choked on my food when I saw the Trump vs Hilary bit. Arisa becoming someone who uploads videos of her opening shit, sounds just like our modern day community! Though that packaging ain't legit as there's always 1 rare card per booster pack. Her chuuni outfit was nice though. Mayo always getting dragged into the weirdness of otaku culture. Love her reactions this episode. That must be how normies see everyone in with these kind of hobbies.. I actually had the same reaction as Arisa when he played the 3 draw card. I mean Pot of Greed has been long banned, a card that lets you draw 3 is too OP. Overall, this episode did well at very at parodying and taking jabs at the YGO anime. If you haven't watched YGO before, it's basically this episode for every episode the series has. Would be hilarious if they make a Pokemon Go episode at this point. |

| This episode is a huge parody on Yu-Gi-Oh(!) and its tropes, and gosh its painful to watch, but same time I love it. Also feels with Tamosu at first. Quit YGO card game 'cause said-Konami releases new cards once in a while and can trump my outdated deck. But nice that one time's a charm to stop a Bugged one, who I think is a Kaiba parody. Everything fits so well and even in relation terms. (I got back into playing Pokemon TCO and I always imagine myself as this Pokemon trainer with magical evolving Pokemon that happens during battles..) Also that election meme. My god I'd be laughing so much if this really happened. xD (Gosh I love Akiba's Trip. Thanks for the laughs so far WITH YOUR MEMES!) |

| One of the very best episodes so far. Hilarious from start to finish. Seeing Trump and Hillary was wonderful. The references were great, and they used the cheap card game tropes perfectly. The art during the game was also on point. This is near the top of my favorite stuff airing this season. Gonzo is clearly having a blast with this one. I pray it sells well. Also delicious Mayo butt. |
