Nice.

I'm not entirely sure this is a sequel though as it's listed as more of a new series. The tag is something like ""GUNPLA BATTLE NEXT FIGHTERS STANDBY." Likely a sequel/season 2 though.

I'm glad, that ending was just begging for a sequel. Not surprising.

Is the first show actually worth watching? I haven't watched a Gundam t.v. series since 00, I was curious about this one.

I haven't watched the first season because I want a more serious themed gundam but maybe because of the second season I'll consider giving it a watch.

one of the key reasons why it was so good is that it wasn't just a standalone show. The show purposefully included several cameos(some extremely more direct than others), and popular gundam variants from all of the different seasons to attract veteran viewers to make the show entertaining almost in a parody like manner. Albeit it isn't serious, its entertaining.
If your going to complain that Yu-Gi-Oh! Mangas are on the top NY times manga best sellers, you must not realize how popular Card games are(as well as the fact that you get a free card).

Nice, nice. I thoroughly enjoyed the first season even though it wasn't your typical mecha series; definitely gonna watch the 2nd season.

That depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for the serious philosophical debates that's typical of Gundam, then this show probably isn't worth it.

However, if you want a fun, comedic show or just want to watch mobile suits duke it out, then it's worth a couple episodes at the very least.

On topic: Nice.

Sunrise can make an excellent idol anime but their handling of the Gundam franchise is astronomically horrible, I don't want this, it's too kiddy, give me some real Gundam. I also have another concern, the games, unfortunately they've milked UC to the point that there is no material left to use that will produce a decent game, Missing Link pretty much sucked it completely dry, there's nothing left now. G no Reconguista if it were a TV anime could've breathed some life back into the games.

Build Fighters is one of the better series I have seen from Sunrise lately.
bla bla bla
The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

There's two more serious ones inc. There's The origin and Unicorn 7, I won't speak for G-Reko though, it looks kinda bad.

Anyway this is excellent news, I really liked the first season.

I hope season 2 will told me what happened to the others. Talk about there's so many character's whereabouts that people always like to take it as an excuses & ended up as a laughing matter.

I'm sorry, guys. I actually care this series so much.

(No Idea why I'm getting over emotional all the time even though there's so much comedy goin on till I've became over stressed)

My guess is he's out of a job, Team Nemesis stopped funding him after Aila's loss and Mashita and Baker ended up in Arian...

I laugh everytime some one mention the goddess Rinko. They should just make a service series with her and it would make a fortune. Best MILF I ever seen.

Nice to hear. But I wonder how they'll take this onwards. I still prefer a serious Gundam series, like 00, rather than a sequel to Build Fighters, I mean, it was good, I enjoyed it, it showed another angle to Gundams - that not only did they have to be used as war machines to reach peace, but even managed to achieve unity among people of all ages, and groups just by being toys. But I just prefer serious anime :)

Good, this was a decent merch anime for once and I really liked the fight scenes.
I'd glady take more BF series over another SEMEN.

I'm a fan of gundam but I don't feel this one and from what I can see the rating is great on MAL but I still don't trust it. Is it that good?

It's a very entertaining family-friendly battle-tourny anime with a truckload of Gundam references/cameos, a light-hearted disposition, and some very stylish fights. It's also quite self-aware.

I'd say it's well worth the shot.

This is great, the fights and the Gundam cameos were the only thing worth watching.
by the way, I think I missed the Turn A cameo in the first series though since I didn't see it?
