Throughout this arc, characters interact with the future selves of characters they already know, and the future versions of some characters unexpectedly switch place with their younger versions at the worst moment (since the main cast are still unaware of who brought them here or why, so it just winds up being bad timing for them). In addition, there is frequent discussion of time travel, parallel worlds and the exchange of information between them, and changing the future, particularly due to some major characters' spoilery abilities, and both of the anime-exclusive arcs found within the Future Arc (Arcobaleno Trials Arc and Primo Family Arc) require the use of time travel so the main cast can power up in the past so they stand a better chance against the main villain. Lastly, even before the Future Arc began, time travel shenanigans cropped up periodically thanks to Lambo, one of the Vongola Guardians is a five-year-old who possesses a weapon called the Ten-Year-Bazooka that he likes to fire at himself when he gets upset. This was initially just a gimmick from during the manga's gag humor beginnings, but Lambo would periodically switch places with his ten-years-later self for five minutes at a time. This was often used to great comic effect and eventual plot significance. While it doesn't quite reach the 75-80% mark, it's definitely in the 65-70% range. I'd say one needs to consider that KHR is just over 200 episodes long. Something that spends about 140 episodes on time travel out of 203 episodes has a lot of focus on time travel. |
