I started watching anime in 2017; I've seen some shows here and there before, but my gateway to anime (and my favourite of all time) is Monogatari Series.
Aside from watching anime, I play AMQ, sometimes MtG (with IRL people, what a normie, I know), Skyrim, Civ5, Crusader Kings 2, HoMM3, Hearthstone. Oh, and sometimes I study, I suppose.
The earlier dates in my list aren't exact; I managed to find info on watching dates of everything I've seen starting from October 2017, though.
10: Absolute greatness. The word 'masterpiece' might be too strong, but these are my all-time favourites.
9: Almost a 10. There's virtually no difference, except the ones on 10 might've resonated a bit more with me.
8: Great anime. It might have some flaws, but despite those, the anime is interesting and enjoyable.
7: Good anime. Just good. It probably has its share of problems, but I like it nonetheless (well, at least half of it).
6: 'Ok'. There is more good parts than bad parts, but you can't just ignore the latter. Still, I generally like my 6's.
5: Either extremely average or a mixed bag of good and bad. Just as the score suggests, I have a 50% chance of liking it.
4: The other side of 6 - more bad parts than good. While not exactly bad, these usually suck. I might like one or two of these, but I'll admit they are below average.
3: This is where things start getting ugly. Everything on 3 is bad, and while something might be good - the premise, art or music - it's just not enough.
2: Trash. It may have something that's not bad, but it doesn't help. Avoid those at all costs.
1: Why does this even exist? Everything on 1 has virtually no redeeming qualities and is an absolute waste of time.

So you're watching Gintama that's great.
Well let me give you an advice.
Just for the information.
The first Episodes and the following first Episodes can be quite average.
I know that it can be for many people. So maybe for you as well.
But it will improve a lot afterwards.
So I hope you will keep on watching Gintama
