Synopsis

My first experience with the horror anime of Passione was Kyochuu Rettou OVA and the movie of the same name which came out this year. It was horrible. Needless to mention, Passione is the studio that doesn't have many gems. In fact, it surely doesn't. I was scared to see what's the Gou would look like. I expected to see the ruined adaptation, or rather, the ruined remake. I was surprised when I watched the first episode.

The problem with this anime is that its not certain what it is. Is it a remake? beat for beat the first episode was the same as higurashi no naku ni koro ni yet the second episode revealed the entirety of the mystery box with one go. Clearly this is meant for fans of the series, an incentive to sell more vns to the guys and >girls who grew up watching it. Yet it misses every opportunity.

The art may have been upgraded due to the new age but it lost the mystique the original had, the characters are simply palette swaps of themselves without read more
