Try ripping it using JetAudio or Windows Media Player, there's an option in them called "Rip CD/DVD"
I actually enjoyed this quite a bit. Budda sure is a real charmer. I'm glad it's not completely build on sterotypes, but then again, when creating a manga of this kind you alway have to tread carefully in order not to appear blasphemic. Now onto the movie.
Pretty damn funny XD I guess you need to have more of an open mind to enjoy this sort of series though. Hopefully more laughs in the next OVA and the movie.
"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."

I only read up to chapter 12 or so but ahhh, so happy with these OVAs. It seems only natural even a landlady could scare the deities out there. xD There were some seriously amazing lines and misunderstandings in this, lol. I was dying at the cat barbeque bit. But how terrible, to only have the ability of making rye bread, my least favorite kind of loaf!
Great but I was expecting more. I was laughing my ass off when I read the manga, but this OVA is trying to be a "feel-good" anime. I wonder, if Shaft produced (and Shinbo directed) this instead of A-1, perhaps it would have the same effect as Arakawa Under the Bridge.
o_O I enjoyed the first part way more than the other. The second was a bit borring imo.
Anyway I was expecting something better :/ I think I'll check out the manga while waiting for second episode (since so many people say that manga is actually funnier)
enjoyable! I've never read the manga (I decided to watch this after I saw the manga ranked in weekly chart) so I decided to read it.
awww those two are adorable!

:s
there are two episodes for the ova, the second one has been released along with the manga volume 9, and the subbed version also has been released recently
Pretty funny concept and nice execution, the only thing that bothers me a bit is the slow pace but it sure was hilarious! Lets see what the second episode has to offer!

Can you remind me what happened? If it's a cat trying to sacrifice himself to be food, it's a Buddhist reference to when Buddha was a hermit in the mountain, and not to die of starvation a rabbit jumped in his fire (well at least that's what I heard).

The white cat that jumped up the plate that Jesus was holding? I think it was offering itself up as food, since they (the cats) thought Buddha and Jesus are hungry, there was another cat that brought out a matchbox and Jesus said "We would never barbecue a cat!" This was also manifested earlier that day by the neighbor's peach tree when it blossomed and produced fruits while Buddha was passing. Buddha whispered to the tree, "Don't be so concerned. It's not as if I have nothing to eat it."
You see there's no need to wonder where your god is,
Coz he's right here! ...and he's fresh out of mercy.
I figured Jesus and Buddha would be decidedly over the top but they actually felt real. There was some pretty funny stuff as well, perhaps the cat offering itself to eat on the plate being the funniest moment of the episode.
"Yes, I have been deprived of emotion. But not completely. Whoever did it, botched the job."
That was a nice episode. A very nice blend of those 2 religions.
I'm catholic and those jokes were nothing blasphemous, which is a good thing (since is kinda delicate theme in mu opinion... My little complains is about Jesus' behaivor but is not a big deal).
I only had read few thing about buddhism, so was a good opportunity to learn more about it like white snake Naga (and more japan stuff like lol the kamis in each rice xD).
Definitely wanna watch the movie when I get the chance.
