 Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm (Aokana), a TV anime adaptation of the adult visual novel of the same name, has been announced to air in Winter 2016. The cast will be announced at a later date.The original PC game is developed by sprite, which also developed Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate. The latter was adapted into a TV anime in 2012. Aokana won the Grand Prize and User's Choice Award in the 2014 Moe Game Awards. A PlayStation Vita version is scheduled for release in 2016. | Looking forward to this. Saw some visuals before and it looks really pretty. The concept itself seems a bit unique too (the stuff about the flying, not the stuff about the MC). This was greenlit a while ago and I've been waiting on news for it. Hopefully it doesn't go like KoiChoco though. The anime itself wasn't terrible but the whole retarded as fuck childhood friend route when literally every other girl was better was kind of disappointing. So as along as whatever romance this series has doesn't go the way of A:childhood friend, B:shittiest girl, or C:Both combined, then I'll definitely enjoy it more. |

| According to a massively long interview with sprite producer Akira Sakamoto by Gigazine, the anime adaptation was decided 3 weeks before the game was released. Gonzo has always been incapable of producing consistently decent content even back in their mid 2000s heyday. I'd have been fine with them staying dead. Low quality VN adaptation incoming. |
