I can't think of a single thing the show did competently outside of episode 10 and 13, the colors, some of the designs, and some of the music. It's an incomprehensible mess of things that go nowhere, massive inconsistencies, massive character and relationships at the drop of a hat, and inevitably awful plot points & lore handled in the dumbest ways imaginable.

Aggretsuko is a pretty fun one for me honestly, and pretty relatable. I guess that charm isn't gonna carry for everyone tho.

Handbado looks like I’ll ether enjoy the badminton and laugh at the drama, or find myself far too aggravated. HSL looks interesting but yea, the characters are far too gratuitous for the most part. I found Valk hilarious. Like, the MC is such a fucking scumbag and tyrant character that the fact that we’re supposed to project into him like a normal self-insert is almost as rich as the pathetic visuals.

Honestly, Smartphone didn't even try...in any regard. Its humor was so sluggish and borderline nonexistent. It was like it half-heartedly set up the joke and snoozed at the punchline (not to mention the "fights" and "animation" and the obnoxious garbage music). Death March at least has moments of life in it and a sense of restraint until the admittedly bad final episodes (and a main characters that gets fucking laid). It went for the jugular in regards to humor. I actually thought the pacing in Smartphone was murder, especially with the first two episodes feeling as rushed as Blazblue Alter Memory or Gundam F91. The pacing in Death March never bothered me tbh
