You've spoken the truth with that Komi review. Going with the one-shot version of her character would have been a better choice, but instead, the author gave her the most bland and uninteresting personality imaginable. Manga completely relies on the fact that she isn't speaking, to make the moments when she does more impactful, but it's just a way to hide that there's no character development or real story progression. An infinite loop where nothing happens.

And that profile picture lmao. It's the stereotypical picture of Russia in my head, only lacks the Adidas jersey knock-off
