He loves to make scenes that shock with no meaning behind or apparent reason, but even so it is a great author.

the freesia is fvcking perfectly executed its art, charcaters and style by itself. Creating its bizzare perception and it will depends on you to how to deal it from its hallucination due to circumstances or person. I rarely see few artist like this more power to you. Cheers!!!

his art has this statick tv feeling that just goes so well with his stories, really loving it, keep on vibrating is a good start to get how bizarre it can get, not for everyone

Impressions so far: Freesia is utter shit and Mikai no Hoshi is manipulative garbage.

So far I've only read 2 of his works, I was intrigued by Netsutai no Citron but am definitely a fan after Mikai no Hoshi. Can't wait to read the rest of his manga wish they would get English print releases scans suck.

Thank you Sarah Horrocks for writing the best review of his art style

This is the writing of a person who gets it.

Gosh, after reading Freesia, and the first two volumes of Alice in Hell... I really love how his works have this cinematic feel to them.
From the camera angles he uses in each panel, to the vibrant sound effects permeating each page, bringing sound and life to the presentation... it really makes him one of my favorite mangaka, currently.

I wish one of his works would be adapted to an anime at some point... I bet Masaaki Yuasa could do a fantastic adaptation, in terms of look & feel. A collaboration between the two of them on a project would be even better. It's something I fantasize about occasionally.
