I'll start. Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu ・This anime has started airing before most of us here were born and by watching it one can experience a completely different era of animation and storytelling. ・It provides the viewer with a relatively deep discussion on politics & philosophy without being a propaganda piece, something severely lacking in modern era of entertainment. ・The story pacing is slow, but grand in scale — it is a long journey that doesn't cut corners. ・While it is mainly focused on a few main characters, there is a great number of other characters whose personalities and unique backgrounds, beliefs & circumstances explored in a great detail. ・The only downside about LotGH is that there are no hot girls here, so you'll have to somehow manage 110 episodes without them! |

Hibike! Euphonium - Captures the feeling of youth and high school - Strong narrative themes about warmth, the spirit of youth and adolescence, and learning from failure and one’s own motivation - KyoAni, self-explanatory - Well-grounded drama revolving around the central goal and the character interactions with one another - Human and natural characters - Simple and straightforward yet heartfelt story - Heavily relatable to musicians and particularly those who are/were band members |

Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo ・ Good drama romance that made me feel a lot of emotions when I first watched it. ・ There's a character for almost everyone in this show, I've never met anyone who flat out hated it. ・ Great voice talent and music for those who care about audio. ・ The name of the anime is somewhat misleading so it's a good fit for a public interest stack lol. |

fun idea! I’ll add The Tatami Galaxy as my choice! https://myanimelist.net/anime/7785/Yojouhan_Shinwa_Taikei The Tatami Galaxy is a show that speaks to the anxiety of not getting the most out of life and feeling overwhelmed with decisions especially coming into one’s own in adulthood—but can be applicable to any stage of life. In a world where anxiety is a constant presence, this show replicates those feelings through its chaotic format and subject matter and the experience is absolutely cathartic. Not to mention it accomplishes this in only 11 episodes, and features a unique art style as well as an episodic approach that lends to the overall narrative. It takes a second to get accustomed to the speed of the main characters internal dialogue, but is well worth the adjustment! |

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni -it's a amazing show, but you need the second season to really grasp the time loop element -best Yukari Tamura-performance -better than Gou and Sotsu -it has a mystery, but also a horror, comedy and moe-flavor! ^-^ |

Accel World If you want to watch anime about virtual reality but you aren't into fantasy settings like Sword Art Online and its knockoffs then this anime might be for you. Sadly both of its anime and manga adaptations are incomplete so if you have the time read the original light novels if you can. |

Violet Evergarden. I thought the story was beautiful, trying to define what 'I love you' means. It had sad moments and joyful moments and a whole bunch of other emotions throughout the season, and not many other animes can give you so many feelings in the span of a single episode. Excellent animation too. And don't get me started on the OST. |

Shinsekai Yori - A psychological and horror anime set in a post apocalyptic world. This setting alone makes this anime really unique. - The art style is really gorgeous and the backgrounds and sceneries are really detailed which really helps bring out the post apocalyptic theme. - The storytelling spans across several years and you get to see the characters grow and develop in a span of 26 episodes. - Lastly, the story and plot is really disturbing and it will tear you up especially because you would’ve gotten attached to the characters. |

Probably A place further than universe since it’s short and complete anime, so don’t have to wait for the sequel, it’s cgdct adventure, animation is beautiful and who doesn’t like female characters with strong determination that can even reach a place further than the universe. |

Was about to say Shinsekai Yori but i was too slow. My pick is Twelve Kingdoms. One absolute masterpiece of an isekai from the 2000s, the time were other world/ fantasy stories were still good. It's got one the best worldbuilding and one of my favorite FMC of all anime |

Honey and Clover. Revolves around life of college students. Extremely wholesome, deep and profound anime. It will make you laugh, cry, think and you will end up falling in love with it. Lovable characters and story which stays with you. Relatable if ever were/are a university student. Lots of drama, romance and comedy, perfect recipe to create a favourite. ....and i was tagged on a post by shizuna and didn't get a notification yet again.. and respect to the guy who recommended redo of healer. |

@Kenrin Couldn't agree more. Unfortunately, it got only one season. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My pick is Shirobako. - It's a good starting point if you want to know more about anime industry and how anime was produced. - Quite an emotional series when you're watching a group of people who have their dream and try to achieve it. |

My pick is Mononoke (TV series) This anime dives deep into feudal Japan, following the Medicine Seller as he tackles some intriguing mysteries and confronts these spirits called Mononoke. The art is pretty cool, with its unique visual style that really sets the tone for the series. Plus, the animation is smooth and well made, adding to the overall atmosphere. The stories are engaging, and the mix of Japanese folklore and psychological drama keeps things interesting. It's like piecing together a puzzle with each episode. So, if you're into something a bit different, give Mononoke a shot—you might find it worth your while. |

I will go with Grand Blue (https://myanimelist.net/anime/37105/Grand_Blue) It is simply the funniest and most entertaining comedy anime I have ever watched, funny and entertaining characters, Waifus, incredible Opening, slapstick humor, and the vibe this anime gives is extraordinary. Hajime no Ippo - Shows you that success is not final and failure is not fatal. -> What counts is the courage to keep going. - The story is simple but enjoyable. - You don't have to know the rules to enjoy watching. - The story is serious when it needs to be, but also has some funny moments. |

Cardcaptor Sakura - I want more people to watch magical girls beyond madoka. - Get people into "older" anime. - A show with lolis, that doesn't have sexual-fanservice(if that's a plus point for you). - I want people to realize that a show where the target demographic is kids, can be enjoyed by anyone, and doesn't automatically mean it's low quality. - Good life lesson to be learned. - LOTS of different outfits! - Extremely cute! |

It's hard to choose something one. For me, multiple anime are masterpieces that must be watched by any anime fan. Texhnolyze, Elfen Lied, Hellsing Ultimate, Serial Experiments Lain, Ergo Proxy, Death Note, Haibane Renmei, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Shinsekai yori, Mnemosyne: Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi, Ghost in the Shell (movie), Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, Shinseiki Evangelion, Redline, Steins;Gate, Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan - Tsuioku-hen. But if I need to choose something one, I'll choose Texhnolyze. It's the darkest and most depressing anime ever made. It's a thrilling story about a cyberpunk dystopian world. It's a trip of despair from start to finish. With recognizable art style by Abe Yoshitoshi. Animated by Madhouse in their best years. And it's completed story. |

3-gatsu no lion : It's some of the most mature drama out there, it depicts depression and the struggle to leave it in a very realistic way. Anime is also visually a treat for the eyes, any fan of serious drama should watch it. |

Ping Pong https://myanimelist.net/anime/22135/Ping_Pong_the_Animation What looks like a boring sports anime is a true masterpiece. The unusual art style is very striking. We have many different characters someone who gives everything, someone who has everything, someone who loses everything. The anime shows us from a melodramatic perspective 11 episodes of the finest sports drama that should not be missed. |
