THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Geez, that Spooky E guy is merciless. It's also strange to see Masaki taking on the role of Boogiepop. This guy is surprising me more and more with every episode in this arc tbh. |

Orihata has changed a lot through the course of this arc, now she genuinely cares about Masaski and desperately tries to protect him but what concerns me is how genius middle-school detective Nagi-san can't figure out that something's wrong with her stepbrother. smh also, still trying to figure out if the heart changes made by Jin are evildoing or not. they seem to achieve "true happiness", but is that happiness fake? |

The anime is appealing somehow, but I have to say I don't know exactly what I'm watching just yet. I mean, is not that I don't understand what's going on, I do, but don't know you guys, I don't see really the point the anime is trying to make, if there's one. As far as I'm concerned, they're filling its unsubstantial plot with the convoluted storytelling, so it may seem it actually means something. It's somewhat fun to watch tho. But doesn't make much sense. |

Nagi suspects Masaki but she let him go. Dislike Spooky E, felt bad for the other girl who's name I can't seem to recall. :( I do wish we got to see more of the original Boogiepop. xD |

I am not liking Masaki and Orihata. They are just one of those boring fictional couples that you see every time. I wanna see the real Boogiepop! He's quite interesting. I had felt bad when Anou was separated from Masaki, but now I think it was a good thing. Something about Masaki is quite annoying. He is not awesome like his sister, I guess. There are three different groups that are all going against each other. I really love it when stories do that. |

Hmmm, iunno, Lain and Texhnolyze, they all have fair points, nothing compared to Boogiepop. If anything, Boogiepop is more like a Durarara seinen, aka, some funky guys fooling around doing strange things in a particular story exposition. It's fun, but that's it. Maybe if Boogiepop tried to be more like Durarara it would be better, but the problem here is the mentalist approach, which is extremely shallow. The anime tries to convey some interesting philosophical points, but the exposition clearly has some huge problems, because in the end they aren't saying anything substantial really. It's okay tho, 3/5. |

Interesting episode! Now, it seems as though a lot of other parties are slowly getting involved in this big mess too. Towa Organisation is trying to get a hold of Boogiepop and this has led them to do some inhuman acts, but now they’re seeking for the Imaginator too. On the other hand, there’s the Imaginator’s party with Jin-neesan and they’re up to some weird stuff too. It’s all a big mess at the moment and as things stand it could go anywhere but I can’t wait to see how this arc will conclude in the next episode. As for more regarding this episode, rip Jin-neesan’s cousin. Spooky E is really heartless, looks like Masaki might end up in a similar situation too. Orihata has really become attached to Masaki, I wonder what she’ll do now. Nagi’s a little concerned for her step brother too, will we be seeing her reappear her next episode? By the way, there was some interesting reveals with Spooky E being a copy and such and we got a little insight on Orihata too. Also, during that scene in the bus stop, I could’ve have sworn that she was going to say something along the lines of, “Do you like me?”, to Masaki. Looks like she’s really developed as a character this entire arc. I hope this isn’t just for a death flag though, but it will most likely end up in that. Looking forward to seeing the conclusion of this arc, which sadly has been a little boring compared to the previous one. |

I'm not being funny but considering Boogiepop is supposed to protect mankind they're not really doing much. Everything seems to be getting worse and they're is nowhere to be seen. I'm not sure whether i think Masaki is being an idiot by taking on the role of Boogiepop or whether he's being awesome... |

So Masaki did get convinced to act as Boogiepop then. The Towa group sure are making quite the effort to find Boogiepop though. Looks like Kotoe just become the prime peace in their hunt for the imaginator replacing Camille. Still Masaki's determination to help Camille despite events getting more complicated was nice to see. Things sure are getting more interesting. |

So Orihata was being used to see if a synthetic human could breed with a natural one, huh. And she was being even more used than what she thought because if what Spooky E said is true, then she isn't even a pawn of the organization, just his tool, and that's even sadder. Poor Masaki ended up being used as well, and he even thought that he was doing something good. He finally realized that something wrong is going on, but he is too involved and in danger now. Then there is Kunigawa who just wanted to somehow help Jin, and is also being used now. Spooky E is really despicable, the Manticore from the previous arc had something that he doesn't. I can't take him seriously, but the damage he is causing is real. He is all about trampling over other people's wills and feelings for his own ends, and I hate it. But I guess that he doesn't have much time left now that he is hunting both the Imaginator and Boogiepop. I just hope one of them deals with him before getting to fight each other or something. lol |

Masaki and Camille are those boring couples we has often seen every season, a mysterious cliche girl who gets all soft when meets some clumpsy boy like Misaki. Nothing new and not even closer to a mistery. That's even better to Anou not remember this guy at all |

This arc just keeps chugging along with no end in sight. Jin's little cousin seems to have someone planted into her or something. It's different then when Spooky brain washed that junior high kid since he was basically still himself. I'm kinda surprised Masaki is still wanting to support Orihata at this point even with all the weird stuff she's had him do. He's even going to continue to be boogiepop to try and figure out whats otg. Really speaks for his character. I thought Suema might have a larger role this arc but she didn't even appear this episode. Speaking of neither did Jin (also still not sure if the imaginator is inside him or not). This could wrap up next ep idk. There's like 4 sides here (Boogiepop, Masaki/Orihata, Towa, and imaginator) that are probably all going to have some confrontation. Idk maybe even Nagi will get involved. This arc is really cool. Feel like the first arc definitely could have received a little more love based on how long this one has been (I imagine each arc is 1 book). |

Masaki impersonating Boogiepop and stealing drugs off the dealers...I don't think Boogiepop will overlook this... Kinukawa's a rich girl. Well this will make finding the Imaginator a lot easier. Spooky E made a good move... Oh, so the Towa Organization wanted Orihata to get a guy to see if synthetic people can crossbreed with normal people...I see... Welp, Masaki is about to be in a world of trouble. This will most likely convince Boogiepop to help him... |

I think the only reason why Spooky E uses Kotoe is because she is loaded (she has a lot of money that he can easily access). It was very brief but Spooky E remarks the abandoned amusement park belongs to "Kinukawa Enterprises" (meaning her family owns it). The landlord of Camille's apartment is also Kotoe's family. Basically she's very rich xD Well I meant it was clear he was murdered but I missed what the motive maybe was. Then it's for the social connections more than the money I'd think. |

Orihata stole some drug from some guys and Masaki (dressed as Boogiepop) defended her, she called Spooky E, he said something about sterilize. Spooky E was in his office receving some calls and solving problems. Kinukawa (Asukai's cousin) talked about how she met her cousin and his talents as an artist, Spooky E encountered her and made her work for him, he's concerned about Imaginator. He sent her to a bar to investigate about Asukai's confrontation with some bandals (related to Imaginator) and get people. Masaki is going out again and Kirima suspects something. Masaki met Orihata and Kinukawa at a restaurant, he left and took Orihata with him. Orihata told Masaki that Kinukawa approached her in her house (Kinukawa's property) and revealed her that she knows what they're doing. Orihata suggests to stop being Boogiepop, Masaki left and decided to continue being Boogiepop by himself, Spooky E appeared and decided to let him go, planning to end with the Boogiepop legend finishing him, Orihata wanted to stop him. That ost when Masaki decides to be Boogiepop by himself. Lot of things happened, as some comments above, I'm not understanding the whole point to tell the story like this, when the plot and development is not that strong, and the characters are not that relatable. |

Something keeps you watching... but I might criticize the character design of this anime. The kids are all really small and insignificant, while you have big bad guys like spooky e who brutalize them. I don't know, I'll keep watching I guess. You hardly ever get smart, well thought out anime anymore. A lot of the conflict just seems to be there for no reason so far, and releasing 5 eps in a day doesn't bode well for the quality of the show. Oh well. Also the last two episodes were so heavy on dialogue like Monogatari...is that the appeal? It's crazy how much an anime suffers when it relies on talking for 10 minutes in a scene/setting that doesn't change. The talk on the rootop was weird, cringey. A lot of the discussions are like that, but I suppose this is an adaptation of material from the 90s, based on the 2000 anime adaptation. It's a mystery and I'm sticking with it because of the op/ed, but they do no favours to the viewer. All these tiny teenage kids. I guess it's a metaphor for the real world or something. |

I like that Orihata cares about Masaki...He acting as Boogiepop is funny lol. Spooky E needs to die. We know more about Jin's past. Can't wait for the next episode. |
BANZAI NIPPON. Nippon is the Land of freedom. Nippon is the Land of Peace. Nippon is the Land of Justice and Prosperity. In Nippon, we trust. We love Nippon, we love Anime. Anime love us, Nippon love us. 日本 |
