Loving this series.

Same here, terrific Worldbuilding and it seems plausible, within the logic of the show.

Finally getting into the groove, previous episodes didn't catch my attention as much. The OST is amazing, specially the chanting song that plays at the beginning of each episode.

Yeah this series is finally starting to pick up. Things are looking good going forward. And this ED is so addictive.

Interesting development so far, they're taken to see someone and they've lost their powers for now... That ending sure was interesting! Nice action as well in this episode!

really great episode, first half was a lot of information but it helped clear things up and understand the history so it did it well tbh, then all the action in the second half just created so much tension, love it!

Very heavy dialogued episode. We learned a lot, but there are still a lot of unanswered questions, which I'm sure they will cover in the later episodes. Looking forward to it! :)

Btw, I'm wondering, was Saki just visualizing how the death feedback would work or did she actually do something in the past?

Yay, bring it on.
Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances.
He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter.
Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.

A lot of stuff going on.

We learn a lot of things from that "library". When it mentions that Boy A was going around killing others, the group was sufficiently surprised that another human would kill someone so we can tell that this has not been a part of their society. They learn of the things that PK can do and so the early restraint is similar to the Psycho Pass. That determination of students who are likely to abuse that power are eliminated like that boy was who cheated during their match. This brings up the point then - why was that girl who wasn't good at controlling her power or PK removed? Maybe this is another condition, that one needs to have a certain skill level to not be eliminated.

When they started talking about adding genes to the genome and the effects of shutting down the liver and parathyroid, literally all I could do was think of what would happen and they mentioned exactly that later in the conversation. Too much school ;)

Of course, thanks to the doubtful Saki, we think that the "library" was telling the truth and it's the monk who wants to suppress this information. Also, the shots of what looks to be like a woman while those pigs were getting attacked can lead to quite a few speculations that I'll keep to myself for now.

There is already a strong backstory to their society and this will set the stage for a great (possible) revolution. I'm really excited to see what happens

2. Well, at least the last 3 episodes got 40% explained.

3. it took 4 episodes for the pace to pick up slightly... jesus christ...

Up until now, this series feels weirdly random concerning the story progression and dramatic highlighting. I can feel there is a good story involved, but the exectuion fails somehow. A little bit.

Holy shit, that episode was fucking intense.

All those revelation... So those Queerats would be anciently human? From their weird evolution, they must be from a very old civilization, what would be our civilization I guess.

In the beginning, psychotelekinesis was a scientific advance, probably a gene that a few human had? Then everything turned to shit when people started to use it to commit crime. We can see it in the opening scene of the anime. I liked to see that everyone of them was surprised to hear that human could kill each other. In their little utopia, they couldn't imagine that human could kill themself. No wonder it shocked them to hell.

I wonder what that priest would have done to them if they would have been brought to that temple. Would they have killed them? If so, why didn't he did so in that forest? We could think that he would be scared to be killed from that constraint applied to their power, but if so, he wouldn't have killed all those Queerats. That mean that they would probably have brainwashed them and left them in a new family/village, something like this.

Now, from the preview, it look like they will be separated from the priest, who will probably have died from the dog-thing explosion. Man, I have to watch it now, but I have to go back to sleep after, I wonder if it will make me think so much that I will not be able to sleep... Difficult dilema :/

Damn, that was a heavy episode. So if I'm understanding this right, the cantus is responsible for their PK powers. Then why don't they permanently remove it from children while they're young or whenever they do that ritual shown in the first episode? It would be somewhat like circumcision. Sure it would be a totalitarian practice, but isn't their society already pretty totalitarian?

Good stuff. For whatever reason I had trouble processing this the first time I tried to watch the show last year, but basically there have been placed a bunch of safe guards in order to avoid the children turning on the other humans. Things such as killing "bad seeds" before they can "sprout" and using the power of suggestion to temper murderous rage. Now, my problem with that last part is that we are shown Saki go into shock or whatever when the priest "stabbed" his leg and told her not to hurt him. Isn't this very...easy to manipulate to control people? Maybe it was just that one time to lock in the "suggestion", though.

Also, I've been spoiled about a certain "event" in episode 8, I believe. But, did this episode not foreshadow it when the kids were told about that certain species that I can't remember the name of?

the requiments for registering at the library: at least 18, name , age and address
verified by: driver license, social security card, student id, a copy of the residence certificate, pension book, etc
xD this storage device is clearly from an other time, it didn't even realize all those verification items are outdated, wonder if once it was sort of a toy into libraries then when civilization got ruined it managed to selfconservate
the treating it to allow access was silly...

wonder if they'll manage to get to any place, or if the priest will die and leave them into the wild

that explosive dog at the end was hilarious xD

That information dump was incredible! Extremely well-worded and with sound sci-fi explanations. It's hard to tell from just these 4 eps, but it seems to me that these characters are a bit too archetypal for my taste. The loud dumb one and the crybaby were pretty annoying in this one. But with a premise like this, I'm hoping things smooth over and the exposition makes good use of the setup.

I loved this chapter. As i expected Telekinesis brought humanity to the verge of extinction and different societies have evolved as a result of it. And theirs manages to keep TK under control, albeit with some harsh methods.

I bet the rat she saved some episodes ago comes to their assistance now.
