"A Professional Anime Recommender/Reviewer 5/7" - Real MAL user (100% Real)
Yes that's an artist's rendition of me in my profile picture, in a manga style!
Watched most mainstream/shonen anime/manga when I was a kid until about a couple years ago. I REALLY got into anime because of Sword Art Online in December 2012, not because it was good but because I was so disappointed. Everyone in school was hyping it up and I guess that hype set it up for failure for me. After finishing it I wanted to find an anime that was just AMAZING to clear it from my mind, from there I found STEINS;GATE. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT And ever since that time I've just been rampaging through anime. I've rewatched Steins;Gate several times and have seen a few flaws here and there, and you can argue that it's overrated but it still doesn't change the fact that I loved it and it got me into anime, that's why it's my #1 anime. I've seen many anime since, but none has surpassed that feel I got from Steins;Gate (some have come close). Hopefully, in the future an anime will come out and I'll finally take off S;G as my #1, but until then I'll just keep watching anime and enjoy it as much as I can. I've also started reviewing shows that I watch because I want to share this experience with as many people as I can.
I love BASKETBALL, I live and breathe basketball. Favourite teams are: The Toronto Raptors, OKC Thunder and the Golden State Wariors. I also play League of Legends (playing since pre-season 1, platinum), Hearthstone and I play osu! Also play NBA2k and other console games.
League of Legends (NA): DeRozan DeMar
Thanks for reading! And if you want to talk about anything from above, just feel free to message me!

Rating explanations:
I explain most of my thoughts about a show on my list, but this is how I rate a show.
10: Masterpiece! A select few that I enjoyed a ton. These are my standards for something close to a masterpiece.
9: Amazing! These are also extremely good anime, but are just slightly below a 10. Would highly recommend these.
8: Great! These are above average anime that had a few minor flaws, but still very much worth a shot.
7: Good! These anime are the middle of the pack or average. At some points they can be 8s or 6s.
6: Meh! These are a bit below average, but has some good points, so you shouldn't totally ignore these.
5: T_T i think that if i finished a series it at least deserves something. These are the ones I just did not like or felt was a huge disappointment.
4: The worst of the worst.
Dropped:
These anime just didn't seem appealing to me, entertain me or just wasn't my type of show.
Would take a lot of effort to make me watch these, even though some probably deserve another shot.
I'm trying to, man! I'm just trying to stick with one series at a time because if I have too many going I end up not finishing anything at all and my on hold list just gets longer. I'm currently getting through some of the Re:Zero light novels I own which while I enjoy them quite a lot, because I already seen the anime and just books with only words in general, it's harder to get through, especially when you know what's going to happen next. The mystery is pretty much gone. Still, it's a fun read.
Wow, that's pretty freaking sweet! I recall a long while back you had that Araragi profile pic; the one where he had his hand behind his head and the background was checkered floor tiles. That one was great, too.
Yeah I mean if it's in my plan to watch and someone recommended it to me then I'll get around to it at some point.
And yeah, lots of promising stuff I wanna check out soon. Ugh, sometimes it's really hard for me to actually sit down and watch/read something nowadays though. Even more so with anime because the majority of my taste (psychological/drama mainly) lies in manga.
Also, does your profile picture come from any particular series? It's awesome!
That's great to hear. And yeah, I was hearing some really good things about it from another fellow MAL friend so I decided I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the recommendation! However, I'm kinda planning out what I'll be watching/reading next because there are some things I know I'm really going to like. Some of those series include but aren't limited to Kaiji, Hellsing Ultimate, 20th Century Boys, Kakegurui, Vanitas no Carte, Kokou no Hito, Monogatari Series (light novels and anime), and The Breaker (Korean manhwa).
Dude i'm sorry for not catching your discord message, if you're free i can talk tomorrow. Sorry just the combination of the vacation and not being on the internet much
Hello! We've been friends on MAL for quite a while now but haven't had a conversation so I thought I'd start one. How's it going? And great favorites by the way!
I actually planned on watching the Monogatari series since a new season came out and I wanna be on the hype train. Also had OreGairu up next also. Needed to switch it up after watching the hype machine known as TTGL
