You have pretty good opinions most of the time, but have you also said some really stupid stuff as well (ie: Saying the Chaos semicolon series need to cut its association with Steins;Gate only because the anime adaptations are shit. Its been quite a while since that post but you should play the VNs to see how wrong you are about that)

He's hilarious and he has the power to captivate in English and Japanese.

I'm usually open-minded towards other tastes. However, when I read something like "masterpiece" or the like in combination with that author's works, it often tickles me to point out the recurring patterns in his manga that he poorly handles. Just can't resist because almost everyone seems to accept those issues without questioning or they get easily overlooked.

The Berserk story afterwards is about Miura's quest to find an economical way to level his MMORPG characters as time-saving as possible. Also to make room for his eroge games.

Oh, I am actually reading Billy. In fact, on every day a new book is getting released. Just take a look on my reading list. ;]
Btw: Your list design is not manga compatible.

Yep. Another Monster. It is basically fanservice in form of a huge info dump and a conclusion befitting Johann's omnipotence. So I guess you would love it...

The author is like a wrestler who does not know when to make the pin. That's why his works end in a stretched squash. I don't have a better analogy right now, and I am not even a wrestling fan lol.

Thanks for the warning. I won't read spoilers when I'm still buying the actual books.

Golden Age is pointless when Guts ignores all signposts completely to move the plot along. Oh, wait, there aren't any, right?

I agree. Like you said, his main issues are parts where he goes on a long tangent without much noteworthy events happening and, of course, following up the hype he built. It almost always ends with a poor conclusion. I do rate Pluto, even though it suffers from the same problems. But it did a good job in reinterpreting Astro Boy's "The Greatest Robot in the World " story arc.

Johann is probably my least favorite of all his characters. He's just a Bruce Almighty relying on conveniences and without much explanations about how he did things. I still regret having read the Light Novel... lol.

Ha, ha thanks! I forgot all about that. :)

Eh? Can you you refresh my memories on this? Could post the link where I said that?

So I finally went through and found the reply he sent my comment over a year ago, and honestly I want to go abuse the canadian welfare system too.

Haha thanks, I guess.

I agree. I was hoping for something like that as well. I mean, they described the antagonist as the next "Adolf Hitler" so I was expecting him to really do some crazy shit. It was more of the exploration of his mind and how he could manipulate anyone into doing whatever he wanted and could do it with little to no effort at all. It felt like he was at every corner... just.. watching things. Amazing anime. It wasn't a horror, but Monster had me more in fear than any "horror" anime I've seen.
Blarey Aug 16, 2015 11:10 PM
Haha I know, kinda weird. Maybe MAL just knows these things.

That's kind of how Monster was.. Still a masterpiece! The mystery of 20th Century Boys is really good so far, but I feel like I can kind of see what's going to happen?
