That song....
Well, this episode/finale pretty much serves as the climax as everything came together in the end.

Was it impressive? I thought it was so-so as I wasn't too invested into the storybuilding up to this point.

This is the first anime series, of which I can not complain about animations, even the CG is free of criticism. The story was pretty interesting, but we did not tell all the backgrounds and the introspection of the characters was not enough. So I wish there was a second season.

For now, my vote is 7/10.

The crew did a good job stopping Rajeev. Alice reunited with her mother and Addams went with them. After that, the crew got pardoned and went on with their lives. The CG is a bit weird, but that didn't stop me from watching the show, but overall, this was a good show.

oh damn this was a nice science fiction story about mind transfer and some sort of quantum teleportation of the Orichalt, that alone made me give this a 9/10 score

its awesome that the consciousness of 3 humans are now part of Rajeev and that able that thing to accept humanity as a none threat to the Orichalt usage

now that Rajeev is no longer a threat they can now freely use Orichalts that they can dig out in the future

Interesting choice of music while they charged into Rajeev. I still think the ED is pretty strange, too.

I had to chuckle when they started rolling the "where they are now" ending. Although I could have handled a few more lines of detail for each of them. And come on, no Rick x Amanza ending? Thought for sure they'd be together after her blush at the start.

Well, SANZIGEN does it again. They're a great example of how to do CG right in anime, and I hope they continue to do well. I liked the general design of Bubuki Buranki more, as well as the fights, but ID-0 had more fleshed out characters, I think. By just a little bit, that is.

Very good, solid 8/10 from me!

Very charming show. Ending was a little anticlimactic, but overall a decent series. I certainly enjoyed it more than a lot of the so-called epic shows this season.

Interesting choice of soundtrack for sure. Japanese folk beats while breaking into the core? Lol.

Shame so few people picked this up.

Nice wrap-up. Not sure of the significance of Soran Bushi, if any, but they used it in the trailer as well. I don't think it worked particularly well with the scene. Rick's ending was fittingly arbitrary.

Good ending, ID-0 and addams both think to mindtrance into rajeev which is actually alice and jennifer was actually in alice's body :O
They convince the federation to help and addams let's ID-0 go since the kaine he knows is dead.

Yup, I loved those too. Wish more anime would take a cue and use those.

A ok series overall. Had it's moments even though the CG was really weird and took a lot of getting used to.

Ooh, Lord, that awesome soundtrack in the finale episode. Came totally out of the blue, but was stangely fitting. Perfect ending imo, I love it when shows make quick epilogues after everything, feels so fulfilled. Overall exceeded my expectations greatly. The story turned out to be one of the more interesting ones this season and also just in 12 episodes they managed to make me love each of the main characters in there.
8/10 from me!

That was one of the best animes this season i'll give it a 9. The story was wonderful and i had no complaints honestly. Execution was great, characters weren't the greatest but they were quite nice. I really liked how we got a wrap-up card during the ending THANKS. We know what happened to them now. I wonder if Amanda dates Rick now but then again he is a machine, she did blush however.
And thanks to one user above for pointing out that Adams, Alice and Jenifer are now in Rajeev and Earth is saved now. And im glad 3 of them are together even if in a weird place like Rajeev.

I especially liked miguel-jumps and transfer of consciousness to another being. Its consciousness that makes you who you are and not your body!!! That was the main theme of the show i feel like.
Oh and cgi was nice, quite nice actually.

And that's a possibility too. But it's unlikely we will ever see it animated.

That's why I pick my seasonal anime based on PV and synopsis and not popularity. If I was doing so I would totally miss this one.

Rick x Amanda is so forced

I don't like it, all that curiosity towards Ido and now all of a sudden she likes Rick? Wtf

She gave up on Ido only to go with Rick who's body was found braindead. Too shallow

No news about Ido's real body means there's actually a good chance of finding it someday and they do have the mask for mind trance but for Rick, unless Amanda wants a strangers body lol

ye i think the mind trance system works like the matrix anyway (transferring the whole mind into the computer/machine which have a lot of sensors similar to natural senses) but ye its up to our imagination

I didn't see any "deus ex machina" to be honest, since practically everything they did during this episode has at least some degree of foreshadowing. Likewise, it makes no sense to talk about "plot armor" when the show has established how Mind Transfer works before.

You're definitely free to not like what happened, but there is nothing wrong with "family" or "love" in anime. Unless you just want to watch dark and edgy shows, but I presume you don't exclusively do so.

Nor was the Rick x Amanda stuff really pushed. Just an offhand comment that, as seen in the epilogue, didn't immediately lead to a full relationship.

How exactly do you explain Ido Miguel out right in front of the three (Rick, Greyman, and girl MC) when it's already too late to Miguel out, and after girl MC cry for a few seconds, Ido is back on the Robot wtf plot armor

Rajeev has now acknowledged humanity and so spit Ido's body out of itself.

The distance wasn't far enough to think it was too late to mind out.

This was a pretty good way to end what was in my opinion an underrated series. Ido and Addams finally gain some common ground, while Jennifer gets reunited with her daughter. Ultimately, the characters end up in a better place than they were in the beginning and the story ends in a positive note. Series like this are hard to come by.

Agreed. The visuals never felt 'fake'.

As for the story, all wrapped up quickly, no major holes but it still felt sort of abrupt. Not so much a criticism, though, I don't think they could have done any better. The whole series had a good pacing, and interesting characters.

I left it as 7/10, my initial rating... it might not have much rewatch value or deep meaning but it was entertaining and I would recommend it as a A- series.

Quite liked the plot that delves deep into MT, tho too many transferring around, and the zombiegirl & oldman turned boy who sought after immortality had literally no point as secondary villains.
Action was bit cool, beautiful planetary bgs & some ships. Didn't like the character designs. Mechs were ok tho.
Ido/Kain had the most depth, next to Maya as comedy, but just couldn't be invested in these characters, maybe the va's always shouting didn't help (animal mech & Alice had really annoyed me). And a lot of technical dialogue didn't matter in the end.
I'm ok with cg characters, hair stills were nice & some faces looked fine. Since most characters talked in mechs w/o mouths & limited eyes, it seemed weird & wished they added facial details like transformers, or a holo face from expanded space.
But the end family reunion was sweet, and served to let the alien acknowledge humanity, a non-cliche end avoiding annihilation of one party. I like the thoughts on identity conflict vs stored memory & emotions.

Very strange music / scene combo for the final operation. Everything was fine until ID-0 revealed his plan to resolve the crisis.

4/5 Pretty epilogue, just to be sure we get nice 2D views of them all.

It was pretty okay for yet another identity quest, thanks to the nteresting scifi background. I thought that it started slow but it was actually reasonably smooth for a half-length series. The hero/villain semi-role inversion revealed in the later part could have really added something to the show, was the villain not played as an hysterical inferiority-complexed man (the hysteria is the problem here). The weak "magical" resolution is... bad.
Technically, I guess the 3DCGI was fine overall but I had some impressions of slowness in a few scenes. The choice is still odd: it doesn't render Range Murata's original designs very well.

Score: 6.5-/10

Written by your favourite Gundam's scenarist, directed by the co-creator and director of your favourite show, how could you decide to skip this one? (I just noticed the creators on another website)
@CodeBlazeFate I see, not a fan of Murata's style. ^^ (though, even I who likes his designs, don't understand why they went with 3DCGI seeing how rather unflattering it is for his original drawings compared to something like Last Exile)

Not available legally and even then the characters look hideous. I'd watch it if it were legally available but especially for something that looks as bad as this from footage I've seen (and the OP), I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

ID-0 will be legally available on Netflix in early October, so the option is going to be there.

That's a shame, because it is not a bad show at all. There's already enough positive comments and reviews indicating this around here. The character designs are rather standard, I would say, but I think they end up looking nice at times. I do prefer the robots to the humans though, which is a good thing since most of the cast is made up of metal, not flesh. They actually manage to find ways of making the robots quite expressive in terms of body language too.

If you want to talk about "bad" 3D there's always Berserk. This is way above that as far as technical quality is concerned. Beyond that, there's nothing "bad" about the story or characters. It's not a great masterpiece or something out of this world though, but still a solid show.

Hmm not sure how I feel about this show. For cgi the animation is pretty decent really but main reason I stuck with it was I recognised the art style of the main characters by Murata Range who is one of my favourite artists. Story felt a bit all over the place in bits like the old man transferring to a clone and then dying I guess?? Adams was so OTT. Like at one point he leaves with Alice and Jennifer to go where? and then suddenly he's back with ID0 and they've reconciled?? Somehow they recovered the spaceship near a blackhole without the effects of time dilation and relativity?

I can only guess that ID0 was able to regain control of his company and that's how Karla became CEO...

This was surely an interesting choice for the soundtrack for the last battle. I like it.

And I love, how it mentions for everyone, what they did afterwards, but for Rick and Fa-Loser it just says "they reconciled".
