I hope you don't mind if I ask, why would you watch so many horrible seasonals from many years ago, seems very time consuming lol

I have not until you mentioned it, I did just look at it on steam and 45 dollars is outrageous. It does look fun though.

To be fair, you can say that for plenty of other companies i.e. Hoyoverse but that's not the focus here. Having just finished season 2, it is a leap from season 1 in all metrics (at least that's what I think, I did see your review) and it makes me more excited to watch the rest of the franchise and the different storylines for the different umas.

It does bring good publicity though since the umas are based off their IRL counterparts, it makes fans do their own research and learn more about Japanese horse racing. It really is sad that most of the horses have passed away but it does feel a little better to know that they're still remembered by Umamusume.

Funny you say that, because my most recent Golshi run was so awful due to the rng rainbow trainings gobsmacking me that I just ended the run the moment she got 2nd in Arima Kinen. 10/10 game, would play again

I don't doubt it at all, it's more than impressive to see how much Cygames has dedicated to Umamusume. Honestly the franchise looks silly and absurd at first but once you get past the initial hurdle, it increasingly becomes so fascinating and compelling the further you go down the hole.

I remember getting into the game for the "haha" at first when it debuted globally but now I'm a big fan for the franchise and the anime is making me more invested by the day, alongside the IRL Haru and Grass passing away :(

I see…though at the very least you could just give a default rating to Cinderella Gray Part 1 at or close to the manga which I’m pretty sure you’re still following at the moment. I don’t think it should make it any different even if you were to later come back to rate it on the other hand.

Right now we’re on Fuji Kiseki and I believe the next banner is Gold City followed by Summer Maru and Spe-chan, I’m saving my pulls for Summer Maru and Oguri Christmas and the Kitasan rerun.

Sounds about right, given the amount of small details within the series like phones or roads designed for uma’s or events related to the characters like the irl Teio and Suzuka having leg injuries. Funny enough, I think it was the clips for CinGrey that got me introduced to the anime as well as Oguri, like the clips of her eating ridiculous portions. That was why when I started playing global and got the 3* ticket selector, I chose Oguri.

I got trolled with two copies of Twin Turbo, one copy of Tazuna, and one copy of El Condor. And that was with 150 pulls f2p, though my luck came back with the uma rolls like Narita Taishin and double flipping Super Creek's card so that's one part of the jp gacha experience I guess.

I'm going with a watch order right now and I'm aware that everything is both connected and separated so I'm saving Cinderella Grey for last since Oguri is my favorite character, also the moment between Teio and McQueen when Teio loses the Spring Tennosho was so so good.

Well from how I see it, probably wasn’t a good idea to watch and finish the aforementioned show within a relatively short period of time. Not saying that your opinion of it should’ve been different or anything, but if you’re still going through that burnout whether or not the switch is on or off at random, you’re not gonna have a good time, and probably not gonna have as definitive a stance on that show compared to if you checked it out when you’re not going through the current phase you’re in.
I say this because a similar situation is happening with me with VNs, funny enough.
Ryuseishun Oct 4, 5:27 PM
Ahhh I see. Well you did manage to watch both seasons of BokuYaba and didn’t have as much hesitation to rate those, on the other hand. So I figured maybe that burnout already ended or something.
Ryuseishun Oct 4, 6:31 AM
When are you gonna finish Cinderella Gray Part 1? Part 2 is starting very soon.
Chiriruu Oct 2, 7:32 AM
Oh yeah definitely, the game is very fun and it’s rewarding to get a good build given that strategy plays a big role. Though sometimes I think the game is against me like when the Kitasan Black banner started or crappy rng but I still love the game :p

That’s what I thought when finishing season 1, that it was a solid introduction and built a foundation for the entire rest of the franchise i.e. Cinderella Grey, New Era, and S2.

If you mean the game, it made me want to consider registering into a mental institution on several occasions

If you mean the anime, loving it so far

Thank you, Scarlet!

Back on topic, eh, I won't blame you for that. BotW's puzzles are just a chore to sit through, and they're worse when you realize that they aren't fully addressed on the Switch 2. Speaking of, the game runs at 60 on the Switch 2, but better hope your money doesn't go to waste because... well... yeah. Right?! Hello Neighbor's biggest flaw is that there's just no direction to it whatsoever. You just run around, making sure which way you'll go. Even if you were to treat the game as a free-for-all, none of what you're doing is fun at all. You don't even know what specific hint you'll need in order to progress. Of course, looking at a playthrough on YouTube will just take away the challenge. And don't get me started on the neighbor's AI. That shit just doesn't work.

Thank you!

Two simple yet very defining flaws of a long game, for sure. I never get the hype of BotW either. While it looks beautiful and the soundtrack is solid, the content itself is nothing to write about. The worst feature of the game has to be the puzzles, where most of them turn out to be convoluted. It also doesn't help that this game runs at 30 fps, which you can say the same with most Switch games, but I think BotW had one of the worst cases of that. Bloodborne also runs at 30, but again, that one is less egregious than in BotW's case. That being said, BotW isn't even close to being a bad game by any means. If you're looking for a bad long game, take a look at Hello Neighbor...
Venucurius Sep 24, 7:00 PM
Now that is an interesting question. I feel like my ideal runtime for a video game, at least regarding progression-based, would be around 20 hours or so. I'm okay with games being longer, but they have to make sure their quantity and quality of content are consistent enough. It's hard to explain something like this, though.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
