Welcome
Hello, thanks for visiting! Here's some things about me/my profile:
I'm a huge fan of artists like Masamune Shirow, Yoji Shinkawa and Tsukumizu, I tend to prefer genres like sci-fi, action, rom-com and some supernatural/fantasy.
Muv Luv Extra/Unlimited is the only VN I've really finished, and it's one of my favorite pieces of media at the moment. Otherwise, I mostly watch anime and occasionally read manga/LNs.
My favorites section is split between anime and manga, meaning my favorite version of any series is the one displayed there.
I consider 5 as average, meaning I have either no strong feelings whatsoever about the entry or an equal amount of feelings in both directions. Anything above a 5 I like more than I dislike, and vice versa for below 5.
I've also written about some of my favorite anime to explain why I love them, feel free to check those out in the "notes" section of my entries if you'd like.

Right! Sonny Boy's ending is so good. It initially struck me as unsatisfying, but then I realized that it honestly was a lot more meaningful that way and now I wouldn't have it any other way. The characters too are so well written, I ended up liking them all so much. Especially Radj and Hoshi.
You too! Especially since you favored Extra/Unlimited that a lot of people hate on, I'm sure it'll be great for you. You have a good eye for pinpointing those subtle developments, and from what I've read so far its full of it.
By the way, I saw that you read the Evangelion manga! Does it have different content than the anime? I've always wanted to read that but since the anime is so good already, I have it at low priority for now.
Right! I think Sonny Boy just might be my favorite series because it has so much to offer, yet has an extremely humble tone that I love. It has such amazingly simple subtleties to the way characters move or are placed within scenes, yet it all has a specific purpose and develops in extremely complex ways. You don't often find a show that treats itself like an art, dense with symbolism and allegory, and has such a simple a story at its core. Its hard to wrap your head around how endlessly profound it is. You could analyze any minute aspect of it, and it contains another whole story within it full of new meaning. I guess I was thinking just now about the Great Monkey Baseball story, but also individual characters are so interesting- I guess Hoshi always comes to my mind first, how he was the only one who could hear the voice of god and put on a face of being 'full of hope' around the other students to keep them in order, but was truly just acting and possibly the most hopeless one, eventually giving into his despair later as the Inventor of Death. That does not fail to endlessly impress me xD
I found The Big O's episodic structure kinda dampening my enjoyment of the series at first too, but I later found that it works really well to capture the emptiness of the world. Since each episode's resolution doesn't seem to impact the proceeding episodes too much, it feels like there's an overwhelming disconnection between the characters and the fruitlessness of their efforts, which characterizes Paradigm City so much as being kinda just 'there' and lacking progression, as everyone is stuck being reminiscent of a past they can't remember. It feels sad.. Maybe I'm just a sucker for that! The mecha fights were the weakest parts of the series for me too, but I felt that it established Roger's dependency on the Big O robot, and it built his despair so well at the start of season 2 when he felt like he had no identity without it. I still think about that whole "I'm just one of those tomatoes"- Its crazy how both silly and sad it is? I think that's what appeals so much to me. I re-watched the series a little bit ago and found a lot more worth in it knowing how the starting episodes' messages helped give meaning to later themes, but it definitely has a late-90s goofiness that is hit-or-miss for some people. I might be a bit biased and just happen to love that sort of humor, but I also find it characterizing and necessary to have a contrast between the dramatic moments and make them feel more real.
looking forward to going through the series !
I was playing D&D and it was one of our party members that introduced the rest of us to Lodoss Wars. Let's just say all the guys had a "thing" for Pirotessa. I mean, the elf girl is really wholesome and all but Pirotessa was like DAMN girl that keyhole in your outfit is outta control.
Are you enjoying the Dirty Pair? I preferred the older ones to the remake. Just something fun about lady space cops and unexpectedly disastrous property damage, that was quite the trope back in the day.
I'm glad that you like it ^^
